Over the course of a week, my father taught me how to ride his unicycle. With a basic knowledge of riding unicycles, I decided to buy this product, the Sun Unicycle Flat Top 24 inch 2014 Green & White. The color black. My experience with owning the unicycle for well over a year now has led to a lot of things to say and I will try to summarize it in this post. A durable product It's likely that the hard plastic of the front and back of the seat will wear out quickly. The reason this is a good unicycle is because you can learn how to ride it. It is ideal to catch the unicycle at the moment of dismount whenever possible since the plastic absorbs the majority of the impact, but it can be slightly indented with repetitive falls. My only concerns with it are a few scratches on the frame overtime that one would expect from a similar product. Furthermore, as with any bike or unicycle it is important to keep it well oiled and away from water as certain spots can rust if it is not maintained Despite my relatively heavy use of the tire, the tread has not worn out too much. As a carry-on item, I carry this unicycle as a carry on many times during travel. This is why I have taken it apart and reassembled many times by now. To date, nothing has needed to be replaced with regard to the hardware except the paint of some nuts and bolts has chipped off. A rideable surface As I am 5' 11'' and like to have my foot nearly straight when the pedal is positioned on the lowest point, my leg is nearly straight. While the seat position is relatively high, there are still a couple of inches to raise it higher or lower as needed. It turns well depending on the amount of air in the tire. The pedals are in the right spot, and there is never an ankle conflict. Lastly, the seat is very comfortable, despite the fact that it looks out of place for a unicycle. Allen Wrench #5 for the seat and various metric wrenches for applying the pedals to the crank arm! As you can see, I have put this unicycle to the test, so don't let the images put you off! As soon as I opened the box, I found that three of the bearing caps and caps were missing. When I bought the unicycle, the people who sold it to me asked if I would take it to a bicycle shop to have it put together. If I was going to do that, I would have just purchased it at the bicycle shop.
According to other reviews I was a little apprehensive about missing pieces but all of the pieces came in the package as advertised, and the building quality is a lot better than I I feel very sturdy and it rides very smoothly. The seat is not uncomfortable as many others have reported. It has hit the ground over 150 times by now, however it still has only a little scratching from the fall guards. Other parts of the unicycle are not experiencing damage as a result of the fall. The order I placed was very satisfactory in general. If you had a hacksaw or something to shorten the seat post a little bit, the seat would be able to drop a lot lower. I am 5"11 and I just barely fit on this 24" unicycle. This is not an issue to be concerned about since it can be fixed in such a short time. This is well worth the money.
Unicycles are made of good quality, according to the seller. In the beginning, it was missing the hardware needed Once the components were complete, I felt solid. It took a while for the hardware to arrive, but it's all together now. However, it is still a good quality unicycle for such a cheap price. I wish the clamp for holding the seat post could be more securely locked down, or maybe it can be quick-released so that it can be adjusted up or down more easily.
I have to constantly replace my pedal because a weak crank stripped the threads after just 2 days of riding.
My first Unicycle didn't come with any hardware and the book was missing. It was pretty disappointing to open it on Christmas morning. In the replacement Unicycle, there were no pedals and no levers to release the seat. hope it will be worth my time and effort when I receive all the parts.
My expectations have been met by the unit. The car is nice to look at, comfortable to ride and rides well. Though I was unable to install replacement nuts, I was able to replace the missing nuts. There was no way I could hold out for the chance to ride. However, the missing parts prevented it from receiving a full rating of 5, so it received a 4 instead. In spite of all this, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for something to do, especially beginners, or for those (like me!) who simply like to play.
This unicycle seems like a good choice, even though I don't know much about them. There is no doubt that it is sturdy and well-made. After arriving, it had to be put together, but it wasn't difficult to do so.
