Despite the fact that they advertise it as a treadmill mat, I use them to protect my expensive laminate floors from excessive dog damage. They won't slide around, and there is less dog dog debris that will fly in the air. I can either vacuum them, or pick them up and shake them outside. My floors have been protected so well by placing them under the dog crates. This is a great way to reduce my stress during the mud season. The one under my couch and the one on the front of my sliding glass door will go there. As far as walking on them is concerned, I love it When I get the next batch, I plan on lining my hallway with them. My only wish would be for them to offer a wood grain pattern, or a wider selection. As I am unable to guesstimate sizes without a measuring tape and I was too lazy to get out my tape measure, I was worried about where the size would fall. Because of some reviews, I was concerned that it had a rubbery smell, however the one I received did not have such a smell. I was also pleased to see that the package arrived without damage. So far it looks like it is holding up well to this kind of use. There were some reviews that said the flat surface doesn't stay flat on the floor, but I let the flat area lay flat in front of me for a day before using it with hand weights and it now stays flat solidly on the floor without any help. There were other mats like this that cost three times as much, but this one works great! My staff and I plan on ordering another unit.

Using this mat on our treadmill at home was a good purchase. Despite the delayed arrival of the package, its packaging was in excellent In terms of durability, thickness, and length, this mat is decently thick, durable, and long enough on our treadmills to protect the carpet.
