Questions & Answers

What kind of noise did you make when these were running?

It did in my case. When the rollers are rolled by hand, the rollers don't make any noise as they are screeching. The sounds probably originate from the tires.

This item is covered by a manufacturer's warranty, how long is it?

In all honesty, I have no idea. My item was a used item with missing parts, so I had to return it.

Do these rollers work well if they are set up on carpet or a mat that lies on it?

As long as they are on carpet, they still work. Because of the pivot, I still get some movement. In addition, you should be able to use them both with a mat.

Can you tell me what size the drums are?

At the edges, they measure approximately 4 inches, and at the center, they measure just over 3 inches. The center of the sphere is approximately 5" in diameter.

Please be aware! Fits only 35" wheels! Does not fit 45" wheels! I like the appearance and the engineering of these rollers
3/5

Here is the beginning of my problem. Neither on the Amazon website nor on the cyclist's instruction manual do I see a limit to the length of the wheelbase. A 45" wheelbase is the length of my bike. On the Amazon site, there is even a "answered question" in which it is stated that the product works with a 45" wheelbase with 29" wheels (which is approximately It is stated in the instructions that the maximum wheelbase of the rollers Here's a photo showing how much shorter my wheelbase is (see photo). As I set my bike on the rollers and measured its front wheel, I found that the centerline of the front wheel extended approximately 30mm beyond the centerline of the front roller. What is the safety of this? Upon rolling forward off the rollers, the dynamic moment of my front wheel will be to roll forward. It is quite clear what needs to be done. This is not the case with the Amazon website. The photo shows what I mean.

Exactly what we expected and more January 2021 What we've learned after six weeks of daily usage *br>*br>I feel lucky to have made this purchase
5/5

It took me about 15 minutes to be able to ride with my hands on the handlebars at first. I was riding by bicycle for 15 minutes twice a day initially and now ride for As long as I had a table on my left, for most of the first week I had to reach for it a couple times each session to stay balanced. Whenever I lose control I need to place my hand on the table to regain It took me a few weeks to be able to ride without falling and reaching for the table for the entire 15 minutes in 2nd gear (3 speed bike). It took about one more week for me to master first gear reliably. In the lower gears, you require an especially strong sense of balance, but with practice you can develop it. Currently, I have the ability to sprint multiple times throughout each session while changing gears in the middle of the session after six weeks. How much this has improved my cadence and my sense of balance has surprised me. A review of the initial report is due in November 2020. It is my pleasure to suggest this Bicycle with 3 speed Priority Classic integrated rear hubs and carbon fiber belt drive. I am 62 years of age. Standard bike trainer stands will not work with this bike. There are numerous YouTube videos on how to use the Tacx Galaxia, and I was a little afraid that I might get hurt.
A thing of beauty is you don't fall off the Galaxia unless you're in a true state of panic. At first, you will steer the front wheel off the front roller and cause damage to it. All of your peddling immediately ceases if you stop. In addition, because cycling does not cause forward motion (the bike remains stationary while you pedal), there is no forward momentum to drag you along. As I installed the Glaxia parallel to my garage work bench, it seemed to work well. By simply setting one hand on the platform and starting peddling, it is very easy to get started. It is common for a person to simply over-think the situation, as shown in the videos Veer to the right or left as you steer. You need to develop a more delicate muscle control for steering (you have to make only very small steering inputs). Give it a few days, and you will observe a dramatic increase in your Fine Muscle Control, Cadence and Balance. With a little effort and practice I am finding the Glaxia a joy to use. I am a casual bicyclist. While it requires a great deal of mental focus at first, as you ride more it naturally becomes second nature. The first few rides affect you physically and mentally. You tend to become tense and shorten your ride. When you go for more relaxed rides, you will find that the ride times are increased considerably. You can feel the time passing quickly when you are focused on riding. I found the Glaxia to be a good workout machine. On my 3 speed, I usually drive in the second gear most of the time. The lack of coasting means there is no time for rest. The only way to keep your balance is to pedal constantly. As I've started riding in third gear (sprinting), I've been balancing on the pedals. Just 4 days later, and this is how it looks. If I go down to 1st, I can get a bit of a rest, but it is harder to keep my balance there.

With more practice, my balance in first gear is improving.

The Glaxia sits on rockers instead of the base unit without them. Initially, I was concerned the rockers would complicate the process, but that was When riding for the first time, the rockers can smooth out any jerkiness the rider may experience. I was extremely pleased with the packaging of the Glaxia. Three identical rollers are encased in sealed bearings of the highest quality. Despite its simple design and compact size, the whole unit is exceedingly easy to assemble, while it is manufactured with precision and with quality materials. Besides being relatively quiet, the unit also comes with a vent. Purchasing this item has been a good experience for me.

After 6 weeks of use, roller cracked There is the potential for a safety issue to arise
3/5

After only 6 weeks, a small crack began to appear in the front roller. We contacted Tacx (now owned by Garmin). Their response was that replacement rollers would not be available up until the middle of the year The company has not confirmed whether they will honor the warranty (it is unknown whether or not they will). There shouldn't be a need for the buyer to package and return the entire unit when a roller can be switched out with minimal fuss. As you can see in the photograph, the crack finally broke wide open. There is a potential safety concern. It is possible for me to change my review once the maker.

There are pros and cons to it
4/5

It is easy to train inside with rollers, but they won't provide you with any resistance if you are looking for resistance. As well, not everyone is suited to rollers. A good amount of balance is necessary, and they can be dangerous as you can easily fall off of them. Buying this pair will be worthwhile to those who have already experienced these and would like to get one for themselves. Using rollers may be the right thing for you if you haven't tried it with friends first.

The sheet of Pywood measures about one inch thick
4/5

Ideally, if you have carpet you should get 1/4 inch plywood sheeting to put underneath the swing so that it can move easily. As a result of the rockers in the back and the wheels on the front, I found that this bike slid around when I first got on it. It all works great once you are on board, and it doesn't sound too The belt only had a dimple in it, which was my only complaint. The picture shows what I mean.
I'm in Seattle, over 60, and got the rollers so I wouldn't have an excuse to miss the race. If you use a wall or doorway you'll get the hang of it after a few tries. The spinning wheels should be spun fast at first in order to leverage the centrifugal force, then you should slowly slow them down to learn how to balance without them as much.

It comes with smooth rollers
5/5

For the first time in my life, I own rollers. As a result, there is a learning curve to using the app, and there definitely To finally be able to balance myself on the rollers without assistance from a wall, it took me about 45 minutes. There is a learning curve when using rollers, so please be patient if you have never used them before. After using them for the second time today, it took me about 5 minutes to get used to them again and I was ready to go. Rollers were my first choice instead of a turbo trainer because they were more realistic and they were more effective at engaging your core and developing Considering the nature of rollers, you probably won't be able to push yourself as hard as when you are riding, but you can work on cadence and pedaling efficiently. Using the galaxy rollers has been very rewarding so far. I really like how they pivot / shift in such a way that you can increase your cadence and be able to stand up once you reach that level. There is no way to add resistance, but you can go into a smaller cog to increase.
