You will be more worried about other things than resistance if you're new to rollers. Having recently upgraded from Kinetic Rock N' Roll, I really can't go back. Having owned this machine for 5 years, I know it inside and out. There have been a few tightenings needed, but so far it's been solid, with lots of sweat provided by the mag resistance unit.
