It really works
5/5

NOTE: This isn't the carousel version with pivots! This product is durable and performs as expected. However, there is one thing to be aware of: Don't be like me and buy this riser because it's a little cheaper than similar ones without reading the entire description. br>This one does not come with a rotating carousel. It has a fixed position. br>It turns out that I ordered this cheaper version by mistake, mistaking it for the rotating version. br>However, once I started Zwifting on it, I was hooked, and I'm not interested in the other kind for the time being.

Create something unique. If you have a lot of things on your plate - buy this. NOTE: This includes the Trainer as well as the Riser Ring. The Riser Ring is getting close to completion. br>br>KINETIC ROAD MACHINE SMART BIKE TRAINERbr>I bought the Kinetic Road Machine Smart Bike Trainer to go along with my mountain biking. Once a week, I have the opportunity to ride in the mountains. However, I wanted to supplement my regular workouts with something to improve my strength and endurance, so I looked into "spin" type cycles. They do, however, take up a lot of space and are difficult to maneuver. Machines, free weights, a treadmill, an elliptical, and boxing equipment are already in place in my home gym. Adding a spin cycle would have necessitated the removal of something else or severely restricting the gym's space. br>br>So I figured the Kinetic might be a good fit. With the Kinetic, I ride an older Trek 950 hardtail mountain bike with no suspension. It connects in seconds and has the added benefit of allowing me to ride a bike that is similar to what I normally ride. br>br>I did replace the off-road tires. This works extremely well with the Kinetic as a road back tire for a "slick" tire. There is very little noise, and watching television while riding is simple. br>br>Another advantage is that if my wife is using the gym, I can move the setup to another room. The bike can be disconnected and moved out of the gym in a matter of seconds when not in use. The Kinetic occupies a small amount of space on the floor. Another advantage: br>br> The cost is a fraction of what a suitable spin cycle would be. KINETIC APP: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> br>I was expecting to be disappointed after reading some of the Kinetic app's reviews. br>br>However, in the months I've been using the machine, I've only had the app drop the program once. br>br>The app has enough varied programs (plus you can just do a non-alcoholic drink) to keep you entertained. I've been enjoying it because it's a pre-programmed "free ride. " I like being able to see how I'm doing against the program in real time, and the only real "problem" I've had is forgetting to turn on the Bluetooth on my tablet. FIXED RISER RINGbr>I use this to make the back and front wheels the same height. Is $26 a good investment? No, I doubt it. With a few boards and a few dollars, you could make something. If your time is valuable, however, you may want to consider it. It works. It's simply too expensive. br>br>CAVEATSbr>When I tighten the bike into the machine, I notice that the frame flexes slightly (as one would expect). While I don't mind tightening my full carbon MB within the frame on my 27-year-old Trek, I'm not willing to tighten my full carbon MB within the frame on my new Trek. It could work, but I'm not willing to give it a shot. br>br>OVERALLbr>The Kinetic has exceeded my expectations. My wife, who is also a biker, loves the Kinetic.

Sturdy
5/5

I'm glad I bought this riser with my Kinectic bike trainer, even though it's a little pricey for such a basic product. It levels out my front wheel and provides the sturdiness I was looking for rather than putting my front tire on a stack of books like some of my friends do with their trainers. The grooves are pretty wide and fit my cross bike tire nicely and would accommodate even a larger tire; however, the base could be padded a little. I was concerned that it would scratch my floor, but placing it on a scrap foam pad solved that problem.

AN EXTREMELY NICE TRAINING BLOCK - 5 stars
5/5

This is the second time I've bought a trainer block. My first was a Cyclo Ops block, which consisted of three different-height "prongs. " It took a few moments to get the front wheel centered after it sat in the "groove. " I recently purchased a Kinetic trainer block. Without any guesswork, the wheel's center fits perfectly into the "hole. " Again, this is only my second block of trainers - However, it is a significant improvement over my previous one. This is something I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun way to spend their free time. training for the season!.

It is and does exactly what it should be! The Kinetic Riser Ring is the gold standard among risers for indoor bicycle trainers
5/5

It's the only one I use because it's sturdy and can accommodate a variety of bicycle wheel sizes. A friend gave me a barely worn trainer, but I needed a riser. I immediately went to this one (I already had one for my main trainer, and my GF has one for hers). Yes, you could use a phone book or another method, but this allows you to easily transition from road to mountain bike without having to worry about sizing.

I'm not sliding down the saddle anymore as I go downhill
5/5

There are no gyms open, and cardio is difficult to come by. I'm driving around mindlessly, listening to Amazon Music and not having to worry about the cars. The stand keeps my bike level on the trainer so I don't slide forward all the time, and it's a lot more durable and attractive than the 2X6's wrapped in the bathroom rug. That look did not go over well with my wife. br>Excellent buy.

It keeps it in check
4/5

Whether I'm riding a 16-inch Brompton or a 26-inch MTB, it keeps my front wheels from spinning. Between uses, I rotate the front wheel to avoid possible damage from the constant pressure points where the thin plastic touches the tires. It might be a good idea to protect more expensive tires with a piece of cloth or a small towel.

This is a well-made product that does its job well
5/5

This is a well-made product that does its job well. When connected to a Kinetic Fluid trainer, the lowest ring allows my bike to sit almost perfectly level.
