These are the only C02s I bring with me. So far on the road, I've only had to use them twice, so fingers crossed. I recently decided to put Innovations' claims about the psi produced by the 16g and 20g cartridges to the test. I have the Continental 4000II 25mm tires (28mm when inflated), and the 16g and 20g cartridges only inflated to around 60psi and 75psi, respectively, instead of the claimed 88 and 106psi. Now, I don't need 106 psi, but I wanted to see what the cartridges actually produced so that when I empty the contents into the tire, I'll know how much psi there is. br>br>Note: I should mention that, despite the fact that my tires are 25mm, they inflate to just over 28mm on my wheels, so I went with the 28mm spec. This may not be the most accurate method of measurement, but I decided to go with the diameter of the inflated tire because that's the diameter I use to calculate the psi for my tires. br>br>I've never had any problems with C02 leakage, so even though I'm not getting the claimed PSI, I'm happy with what I'm getting because it's close to my sweet spot. br>br>If asked, I would suggest these C02 cartridges to other riders.
My rear tire blew out on a 24 mile ride with a 2500 foot elevation gain. These items quickly refilled my tire, and I was back on the trail in no time! Highly recommended! They don't take up much room in your bag, either.
I'll keep buying them because they're less expensive than Fluval's.
When I recently had a flat tire on the road, I was able to put this product to use. My bicycle has 700 x 38 tires and is a hybrid. I was able to get back on the road with just one cartridge. The cartridges have made a big difference in my life.
Because my tire was slightly larger than the recommended size on the box (29x2), I made sure to let the cartridge warm up to room temperature before opening the valve again to get any extra air into the tire. The 20 vs. the 29x2 (I give it a 10). br>br>As a result, I was able to get home with no problems and plenty of air pressure.
I had to purchase these in order to use them for dog training as recommended by the dog trainer. I went through a lot of them and bought some from the bike shop. It's a great deal for the money and it works well.
We were able to save the day! I finally got my first flat tire, and it happened miles from the trailhead. Following that, I'll give you a quick plug. My 27 was taken by this 20g. 5 x 2. 4" tire inflated to the brim and then some I'll be carrying these with me on every ride.
