The 16g is just enough to fill the tube to 120 psi, which is the maximum tire pressure for my 700x25 tires. They're just the right size for my saddle bag. If you're getting these to fix a flat on your bike, make sure your CO2 inflator is threaded like these cartridges, and deflate the tire when you get home and refill it with air from your bike pump because the CO2 will leak out over time.
I don't get many flats, which is fortunate for me. This 6- The value of the pack is good. I don't get many flats, so these last a long time for me. I always have one on hand. I have two with me, and I've used them to assist other riders who were having difficulty using hand pumps after flat tires on rides. br>br>These CO2 cartridges can be used for a variety of things, but I use them with a Presta-type valve. To quickly refill bike tires, use a valve inflater head. For those who aren't aware, these are commonly used instead of carrying a pump on long bike rides because they are smaller. It's not as heavy as a pump. After changing a flat, they'll quickly refill a bike tire (tube).
I tried using the small frame pump to inflate my presta valve tires, but it took a long time and I never got them to 100 pounds. In a matter of seconds, these inflate to a weight of 100 pounds. I'm now removing the frame pump, which should help with aerodymics and reduce weight, and storing the inflator and a few catridges in my underseat bag in case I need them. I've only had one flat in 1500 miles of biking and it was close to home, but I like to be ready.
Taking away stars because they run out so quickly, but for the price, it's worth buying these over other brands; I use it for my mini Fluval CO2 kit in my planted fish tank, and it fits in the system fine despite not being the same brand. br>br>Update: I'm not sure if it's because of these or because of my CO2 system, but one of them almost gave me freezer burn when I was screwing it into my system. My CO2 system has failed. I'm not sure I can blame the product, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
Great. They're what I use for the tires on my bike. It's just a regular CO2 cart, really. Only when sold as a mole annihilator do they seem to be less expensive. It makes me wonder if any other bike parts could be sold as mole annihilators. Maybe it's because of my tires. I'd gladly pay a lower price for them.
This Co2 is not as good as the seller advertised it to be; it has a different appearance and presentation than the ones shown here. But that's not the most important issue; my low score is due to their inability to fully inflate my 700C x28 tire; I had a flat and had to use two of these to fully inflate the tire, which is a pain when you're stranded on the road. I was fortunate in that I had two cartridges on hand in case anything went wrong. These CO2 are not something I would recommend. STOP advertising one product and sending a completely different one, which reflects poorly on you, to the seller. Even though I can't return them, Amazon Prime is a godsend.
I've had a couple of flats recently, and I've had to fix another rider's flat, so I can't imagine not having CO2 cartridges on hand. For 700x23 road tubes, 16g is ideal. They're easy to use and get the job done quickly. Unfortunately, it's time to place a new order. Although I would have preferred not to have such intimate knowledge, I am happy to report that they are effective.
I'm a big fan of these cartridges. Even if the flat isn't fixed, this is the best immediate repair. However, there is some room for improvement in the shipping department. Mine arrived with all six falling freely in a large box that had not been adequately packed. Sorry, but I've been near an oxygen tank that has broken the head off because it was left unattended. Devastation on a massive scale. These. I realize they are insignificant in comparison, but they are nonetheless significant. In the back of my mailman's truck, I'm giggling. not cool. For a pressed package, pack it tighter.
