Questions & Answers

Surely, the item measurements are incorrect. This thing isn't 18 inches long in any way. ?

The dimensions listed on the website are 15 inches by 15 inches by 15 inches by 15 inches by 15 inches 5 x 7. The size is 5 x 7 inches. These are the measurements of the outside of the building. The pack measures 12" x 7" on the inside. br>Wishing you all the best.

Hello, will this fit into the Rockbros bike cargo rack sold on Amazon, or does it have to be used with Topeak racks only?

No, it'll only fit into the Topeak rack and lock in place. You could use a bungee cord or velcro straps to attach it to another rack, but that's what most of the other bags offer. Topeak's bag is secured by a slide that grips the bag and an automatic locking clip at the end. Many velcro-attached bags move around on the rack as they go around turns and bumps. It never happens with the Topeak rack and bag.

Does this bag have enough room for an iPad?

Yes, I'm talking about the iPad Mini. It's possible that the iPad Pro will fit in the bag diagonally. I wouldn't bother because you'd lose a lot of the bag's capacity.

What are the measurements of the outside of the building?

I'm not sure what the dimensions are, but I know it's not a big bag. It has good lines and doesn't interfere with the way your bike handles even when the bags are removed. I hope this has been of assistance to you.

It makes a rattling noise on the rack
3/5

It's a fantastic bag, but due to a flaw, I've stopped using it. It rattles when it's properly installed. The rattle is caused by the mount not fitting snugly on the rack. On long rides in my Catrike Expedition, it's quite distracting. I intended to use it to store my DSLR as well as a couple of Go Pro cameras. I didn't want to put my cameras and sound recording equipment through that kind of vibration until I could deal with the rattle and vibration. The audio quality was harmed by the vibration. br>In the end, I used a couple of wooden carpenters door shims to make it work. It came to a halt then. I made the shims long enough so that I could grip them with pliers if they needed to be pulled out. A front shim and a back shim are included. In the event of a problem, spares must also be kept in good condition. br>From Topeak, I've come to expect more. I shouldn't have to modify equipment in the field for vibration for the money.

Great product that differs slightly from the description
4/5

Ordered and received on time, and at a significantly lower cost than the bike shops I frequent. br>br>Item is ideal for use with the Topeak quick release bike rack, which is modular and allows for the use of various types of bags or baskets. So it's very easy to put on and take off, and it's very safe. br>br>I like this MX bag because it's the right size and holds a lot of stuff, whereas the DXP is huge (do I need to say "very" when "huge" should suffice?) The bag is practically waterproof, opens/closes easily, has a nice mesh pocket on the top front that securely holds my cell phone while I use Map My Ride, and the interior has another secure pocket under the top (probably for phone or wallet/keys) and the move
1. I was expecting to receive the new bag with the yellow interior - As you can see in the photo, I went with the old black style, which is cool-looking and allows you to see what's inside.
2. The side pocket is fine, but previous descriptions described two on each side; instead, mine has one long side pocket on each side with a long top zipper. It has a pencil bag-like interior. More things could be crammed into the mesh if it were a little thicker.

It's a nice bag, and I like how it attaches, but the side pockets could be a little bigger
4/5

QuickTrack is a system that I find appealing. It's a lot better and more secure than the Velcro straps that held my old "RhodeGearUSA" bag in place, and the MTX bag is attractive. But. Unless you only want to keep pens in the mesh, zippered side pockets, they're practically useless. I don't usually bring pens with me on bike rides, but you might. br>br>It has a water bottle holder on the back of the bag, which I like. It's always a nice and useful feature to have. It also has a loop on the back that can be used to attach a red strobe light. An additional useful safety feature. When riding in the dark, there can never be too many lights. Those side pockets, on the other hand, are a puzzle. Fortunately, I discovered that my windbreaker just fits under the top of the bag's straps, which, when combined with the water bottle pouch on the back, means that, even though the side pockets are useless, the main compartment has enough room for my tools, tubes, and a snack. br>br>Given that the side pockets appear to be purely decorative, I believe the bag's price of $65 is a bit high. A more appropriate price would have been $45; however, I believe I can make it work.

The bag does the job, but I expected more for the price
3/5

br>The zippers feel like they won't last very long, and the shoulder strap's clip broke after a few miles of walking. Nothing was broken, but the small plastic C clip that holds the clip to the strap was broken, so I'll have to order a new strap or figure out how to make this one work. br>br>Because the side pockets are skin tight to the bag's body, they're only good for small pieces of trash. br>br>On the bottom, a thin layer of padding does not appear to be properly stitched in. The bag is stitched to the bag for a few inches, but it is otherwise unrestricted. br>br>Overall, at $61, I'm dissatisfied with the bag. 7/28/17 (ninety-sixth).

Nice bag
5/5

The bag has a nice appearance. It appears to be of high quality. On the Topeak rack, it's a breeze to install. There is a spot for a rear light to be attached. Strips of reflective material. A word of caution: New York is my Kryptonite. The lock is just big enough to fit inside, but it's a little too long to lay on the bag's floor. To fit it into the bag, I had to stand it on its side, catty corner. It's not a big deal for me, but just wanted to let you know. Snacks, an extra water bottle, my lock, and a few other small items have plenty of room in my bag. On the outside of the bag, there is also a spot for a water bottle. I'm not sure how useful the side zippered pockets will be because they're so small. Maps, cash, and a credit card might be useful in an emergency. I'm happy with my purchase overall. My rides are recreational rather than commuting because I am retired. I require a size that is large enough to accommodate my requirements.

I had high hopes for this
3/5

Yes, it was a high price (plus I needed the rack), but I assumed the quality would be good. However, the extremely irritating rattle caused by poor engineering is, to put it bluntly, unsatisfactory. The bag simply fits too loosely on the racks track, causing it to rattle, even with everything properly installed. Some people will be completely unconcerned about this. Others, such as myself, will be driven insane by the constant noise, so I'll use my manufacturing skills to create a dampening device; after all, the bag is great, and I can finally enjoy my backpack, so I'll figure it out. 2 stars because they should be ashamed of themselves for delivering such a high-priced item with such a bad design. br>Recent changes: The issue has been resolved. On the surface, yes
5/5

The trunk is fantastic! It appears to be well-made and sturdy, but I only received it today and have yet to put it to use. br>br>The large compartment is a single piece with a Velcro-attached adjustable divider. It appeals to me because of its adaptability. If you don't want to leave the trunk on your bike, there's also a shoulder strap for easy carrying. br>br>The large compartment isn't huge--it's about the size of a small suitcase. I'm a woman's shoe size 6 1/2, and I've included a photo for reference. When I used this, I expected to need a small package as well. It has enough capacity for a day ride, which is exactly what I required.
