Questions & Answers

Do DXPs and EXPs have anything in common? Are there any size or space restrictions?

Despite the small size difference, this is not significant. There is a top portion to the D. There is a rigid side panel and a rear bottle holder on the p, as well as its ability to expand upward. Your usage depends entirely on what you intend to do with the product.

In what ways are sizes different from each other? What does each one refer to? Does one fit a 26" and the other ?

It doesn't seem to make a difference to me. The side panniers can be used on either size bicycle when they are all the way extended. The rack has to fit the device in question. If not, it's okay. Among my bicycle's wheels is a 700cc one.

Are the side panniers big enough to fit my laptop? The 16th point. Five feet by ten feet is the dimensions. How wide is it (5 ?

Contributing to D's success. Bob Cobb's decision to say "no" These are my 15 favorites. The square root of 25 is A laptop measuring 25 x 1" barely allows the DXP's side bag to zip shut, and that is if I gently pull on the zipper. There is a problem with the zipper on 5'.

What is the maximum size of a 14-inch laptop that can be put ?

It might be possible to fit a 7" tablet, and depending on its form factor maybe a 10" device (flipped over, I can fit a Microsoft Surface Pro), but you could not fit a laptop inside. Any height above 13 inches is out of the question and anything over 11 inches is highly unlikely.

In terms of convenience, quality is secondary
4/5

It is perfect for commuting to work and for overnight bike trips. I also bought the MTX DXP Trunk Bag and Explorer Rack. After having these for a couple of days, I would like to share my review. Currently Topeak makes two trunk bag/pannier sets - the MTX Line pack and the MLX Line backpack There are two EXPs the DXP and the EXP. When I started looking at the EXP, I found it to be about $34 cheaper but soon decided it was too small for my needs. My experience with Amazon's superb customer service was truly amazing. They agreed to take back the EXP I had already used twice - the treat of epic proportions, I must say. The interview was conducted without question A prepaid return label was provided, and I received the larger "DXP" overnight at no shipping cost. The DXP is larger than the EXP and has an expansion stage for the horizontal compartment. The expansion stage allows me to carry my lunch straight, which is more convenient. I have easy access to my house key, my cuff clip, and other small items thanks to a water bottle/accessory pouch on the back of my jacket. There is no doubt in my mind. The difference in price of $34 between the DXP and the DX was well worth it to me. If you want full value from either model, you need to invest in one of Topeak's Explorer rear racks. I picked up one of the basic ones, which come with disc or drum brake versions. The disc brakes are important. You must carefully choose the one you want. I had difficulties installing the rack on my 1996 GT Outpost, because it doesn't have Allen screws on the seat tube, but it came with an adapter that worked very well for In reality, I had to engineer a way to make the new rack fit the old one, since I thought the racks would be interchangeable. As long as you enjoy tinkering with your bike, it shouldn't be a problem. The quality of the parts that make up the quick-release is very good. It also seems that the release system is a little cheap, but time will tell how durable it will be. This quick-release system is really the only reason I bought this bag and this rack in the first place. Even if you do not require taking off and putting on your bag very frequently, you may find one that is far more comfortable than your current bag For the same money or less, you can get a set made. The first time you pick it up, you probably will agree that it feels like a piece of junk, especially the very crappy zippers. If you commute every day, go on bike tours, or live in an area with lots of potty stops, this bag is for you. You will remember exactly why you bought it once you pull the bag off the rack at your destination, put it over your shoulder (with its included shoulder strap), and head to your destination. We should put "Convenience Over Quality. " at the top of our priority list. A number of owners of the EXP and DXP have complained about the bag rattling when it's on the rack, and a number have come up with homemade fixes for the problem. There is no doubt on my set that the rattle is present- There is a rattling noise when the vehicle is powered up, but I don't mind it since I usually have music playing on a speaker when I ride. If you would prefer a quiet ride, you will have to silence the As I have not used this bag wet yet, I can't comment on how it performs under water, but I should warn you that it is not marketed as a waterproof bag (or even as a water resistant bag, as far as I know). You can buy a rain cover for it, but I just keep my heavy rain gear in my bag My heavy-duty plastic bags are inside a waterproof box when it rains suddenly. I also pack electronics and other wet items. Items in a plastic bag that should not be opened I am satisfied with this purchase despite the fact that I had to lock the bags before placing them inside. One of my favorite features is having a trunk that can quickly convert into a pannier set and one I can easily get on and off. It would be a tremendous help if someone could repair my zippers the first time I pack a little too tightly, and I.

It is a wonderful bag, but it should have come with a lock for security
4/5

The trunk bag I have chosen is perfect for my needs. My favorite feature of the MTX lock is that it allows me to quickly install and remove luggage. Additionally, my wife and I are able to swap luggage components at an incredibly fast rate on our racks. Bags like this one are usually very spacious, but this one even expands further so that you can carry more The expansion zipper allows me to fit my helmet comfortably inside the main compartment when I expand it. You can see photos I have uploaded here. In the future, I'm not sure I will use the pannier sides regularly, but they're there in case I I don't notice them at all, since they are folded up so compactly. My expectation is that the case will last for a long time as it is made from durable materials. My needs are those of a casual commuter, so this bag is a perfect match. It does not have a lock to lock it to a rack, as that is the only feature missing from the bags. It is not necessary for me to take the empty bag off of the rack, as the lock on the rack will secure it. The reason for removing a star is because of this. It would be nice to be able to lock my $80 bag so that it doesn't wander off.

This is one of two I own
5/5

Each of them has exceeded my expectations, and I am extremely pleased with them both. My first one was delivered to me in 2014, and I have treated it as if it were made for abuse. The number could be anywhere between 5,000 and 10,000 As well as 6,000 km of commuting, we also traveled 5,000 - 6,000 km by way of our jobs This piece of equipment has completed 6,000 kilometers of road trips. It has been almost 6 years since I carried a set (2) of ABUS Granit City 1060 chains that weighs 3. 7 pounds every day. 891 kg) of fresh meat (6. The weight is 34 pounds and the weight is The weight of the dog is 694 kg. I can be stolen, but you will have to work really hard to get it. You may steal my bicycle, but you will have to work really hard to steal it. (I grocery shop with them, and when I travel, I probably squeeze 30 minutes out of them I fill them to capacity with all of my gear, spare parts, food, staples, extra water, etc.

The one I bought two years ago is beginning to show its age. As a result of my big locks, one pannier has developed a few small holes in the upper part of the trunk and the zipper on the upper part of the trunk seems to open only one way. The bag has two zippers, but as long as I use the one zipper to open and close it, it works fine. The zipper splits when I use the other zipper to open it. I have to try to put the zipper together again. There have also been complaints about the front latch failing on rough terrain and the whole thing falling off the bike. I solved that problem by wrapping a small bungee cord around the seatpost (see photo), and there has never been an issue with my (I have a 29er). As a result, I ride it as closely as possible to how it was designed. -I bought my second trunk in 2017 and it is the second I have owned. I own another car with a total of about 5,000 km, but it's in similar condition and I treat it the same way as this one. It also has its own set of Garanit City Locks (yes, I have two). In my opinion, this item was a 5 star item. Some people have complained about zippers, the latch, and other things, but come on, The wear and tear of things will come to an end one day. have gotten pretty good results out of mine for the past six years, and if I continue to take care of it (that is, abuse that is controlled), I am fairly optimistic I will get a few more great The product is of high quality.
