The source of the problem appears to be If you do not wish to have a toy, this would not be a good idea. The free shipping did not apply when I returned it and I was charged the same shipping cost I paid when I bought it. In addition to the item being worthless, the seller is equally awful.

We ride where runners and other cyclists are. The masks we wear are all the same. that we needed to give more notice of our presence to those around us for safety reasons. The bells work really well. Our handle bars are quickly attached to the clip, and we are off. We are confident in our safety with this purchase.
There aren't too many bells like this on the market. It rings loudly enough to hear but is not too loud for a leisurely bike ride.

Despite having tinnitus in my ear, I didn't think it was as loud as my wife said, which is quite a bit louder than I thought it was. When I saw about four people on the trail about 75 feet or more up ahead, I gave it one ring after I had installed it (it was easy as pie). All of them turned around and walked to the side, where until now I would have used an obnoxiously loud bulb horn that would cause people to scream at the top of their lungs. In favor of this pleasant sounding Marque mini brass bell, I deep sixed. The next time this bell goes belly up, I will buy a new one.
There is a nice loud ring to this bell, and I love how the matte black blends in with my hand bars, but the mounting hardware is terrible. This loop is made of very thin plastic and it is easy for it to break. So long as you do not plan on moving it a lot or bumping it, you should be just.
