It appears that the matte black versions are made in China now, they are smaller, have different packaging, and are installed differently than the older versions made in Japan.
The only way to remove the file is with a hex key
In order to install the bell, there should be no need to remove anything. It is possible to completely remove the band from the handlebar by unhooking it. For 31, however, as previously noted. It is a snug fit with 8mm bars. As your bars flare as they extend from the stem, the tape will likely not pass over the outside of the stem or over any wider diameter.

As I read the reviews on numerous bicycling forums, I chose the Crane as a result of its overwhelming positive feedback. There is a lot of quality in this bell. I think it will look great on a modern road bike. It is small enough not to look out of place. The loudness is probably the most important aspect. During the DING! I hear a loud ringing sound! You can achieve the same level of sound by simply pulling back the lever 1/4" or so, and it sounds even louder if you pull it all the way. When I opened the box for the first time, my wife immediately covered her ears in reaction to my zealous DINGing. I get a smile on my face every time I hear this little bell, and I'm excited to go riding!.
It's a good price as well.
come from Japan and are the real deal. Some reviewers claim this version of the bell is a knockoff of the Spurcycle version. There is no logic to this. The Crane brand traces its lineage back to a tradition of Japanese innovation rooted in cycling that has been around for many decades. Shimano's Crane derailleur once held the title for Shimano's top of the line derailleur. On the same day that I installed a Spurcycle bell on one bike, I installed this model as well. The area in which I claim competence is beyond my capability. Spurcycle is an elegant instrument and both sound great. However, I like the sound of the Crane more. I think of a priest's gong when I hear this. What kind of presumption am I displaying? It's probably true. Both of them will remain in my possession. Don't let the threat of scams deter you from spending money on a Crane bell from a reputable merchant. It is amazing what they can do.
In any case, this is an excellent Though it is a copy of a work already published, I actually think it is pretty good. The item feels sturdy in my hand, and I had been holding it for a couple days before I could install it. There are other reviews that say it doesn't always ring fully, but I think that's due to It's the Suzu. I've owned one other Crane bell before this one. The bell was beautiful and had a great tone, but it was a big bell. In terms of size, it is The one I have is perfect for my road bike. I also considered the Knog Oi bell, but that one is too quiet for my road bike. The one I saw yesterday was very large. A library would be the perfect place to ride on it.
Spurcycle bell has been my choice for quite some time, and I wanted to try one of these as an alternative. However, I have not been able to find the Crane E- Bell in my area. Spurcycles come with two lengths of strap, not one. One is 50cm, one is 51cm, not both. If you mount the strap near the stem, it will only be long enough to reach The OD is close to 22mm on this one, so I cannot mount it near the grip. Since it has a shorter mounting strap, I will need to shell out the extra for a Spurcycle bell since I really wanted to use this bell.
Definitely one of the best ringtones ever. New York City pedestrians are unruly and aggressive, and I ride in their city. Ringing at this volume and with this ring tone would be enough to capture their attention without being too loud. On the down side, it is flimsy and not that great an attachment system. There is no need for screws or screwdrivers. In a short period of time, my computer was stolen.
The car has been driving about 110 miles a week for the past 3 months and the car has gone from a thump to a dull ring and is heading to The wording appears to be intentional now, and I have checked repeatedly to ensure it is not due to a mistake. It is only the poor manufacture that is bad.
That bell is just too cute! This is a beautiful, clear, loud product for its size, easy to install on my Cannondale Quick hybrid bike. I can use it on the larger part The goal of getting an engagement ring should be good. Wimpy flicks result in a little tink instead of quieter tones. You know. . . the kind of thing like "Oh, please, you can do better. ". One criticism has been that Crane has copied Spurcycle's design, which is fair, so make sure you check them out as well. It is also possible to buy the Knog Oi bell with a black finish (lovely design, nice sound, but not very loud), however, this bell was much louder and has a better The black bell sounds a bit different than the brass and copper versions (the brass and copper ones have a sharper, more irritating tone to me). Therefore, you should find a video to hear each of the bell's flavors to compare them.
