Having tried hiking socks from LL Bean and REI and being left with sweaty feet after an hour, I was in need of some new socks whenever I was going to go hiking. When I bought these, they arrived just before I left for my After 13 miles of tough Swiss hiking I had dry feet (even though I trekked through snow part of the way) and no blisters. I wore these for 13 hours (including meals and train rides) and they were comfortable. I wear them while walking on the treadmill at home and outdoors for little four mile walks and, unsurprisingly, I am still very satisfied. In addition to being nice and soft, they also are really cushy.
However, these socks are not going to stay on. As a military police officer, I wear tough clunky tactical boots that I wear for 24 hours on end. I must tug on my socks approximately 100 times a day to keep them on. I don't have much to say about them really, just that one complaint. It is not a warm night, but I am ok with that. The southern US doesn't have many colder months where I live, so I tend to wear thicker Point6 socks during those months. It is foot sweat that I am most concerned about, and these do not seem to make it any It's really the fact that they won't stay on top that's the biggest problem. Boot rub is not only annoying, but it is also uncomfortable. You can probably wear them without any problems if you don't put them in high top boots.
