The fabric is thick and elastic

The fact that these socks are thick and stretchy suggests they are more appropriate for fall or winter. When I washed them for the first time, not much color came off. They stretch well and can absorb sweat. I used to wear them to play sports, and they are not too warm in summer, but can get a little sweaty in the heat.
