My review is 5 stars based on the fact that I have not been dropped to my death from this app.
The following is my perspective after having used it for a couple months now. The pros are The light weight makes it easy to clip the ATC to during rappelling**Notes We found it a bit short for a lot of In general, it seems to do what it's supposed to do.
Must unclip from anchor to adjust length.
Overall, it does what it's supposed to. However, I found it to be too short at times, especially if the anchor bolts were a bit further apart. You could pull the rope through the rap-thing if you simply climb to the top of the route It should be OK if you are setting up a SS anchor, but if you are setting up a TR anchor that may need to be longer, this PAS might be too short to put all your weight on it (though it's never happened to me). Since I switched to Purcell Prusik I have become much more adjustable and it does the same job as the original.
Using this Personal Anchor, you can rest assured that it is durable and well-designed. It is extremely easy and quick to change the length, as there are numerous options for tying in or clipping on. My greatest benefit is having complete confidence in this and peace of mind when it comes to anchored-in situations on steep slopes and rock faces. The recommendation is definitely worth it.
We at Personal Anchor Solutions believe that this is the perfect solution. Despite the fact that these ring style PAS systems have been around for awhile, I am always shocked at how many people are still using fixed length slings or Daisy chains' length can be varied with clips that clip into individual loops, but their strength is usually only 3 KN each for the individual loops. Slings, though reliable, are only offered in a fixed length daisy chains can have loops that are varied. Both systems have their advantages, but this system eliminates their shortcomings. Because each ring is rated for the full 22KN, you can clip into the ring that is appropriate for your length while remaining sure that the integrity of the ring is preserved. only complaint I have about this product is that the picture on the package shows a carabiner included, but it was not in the package. A reviewer complained that the included carabiner was not of good quality and that he had to replace it with his own. Another reviewer said that the package did not contain a carabiner. I think they removed the carabiner from the packaging because the packaging now shows a picture of a carabiner attached to the cardboard, but the sling is directly attached to the cardboard. This does not bother me, though I would have switched the biner out anyhow.
I am fairly new to climbing, but have a friend who has more experience than I do, so she recommended this to me for my primary My favorite part of it is the music. My harness has two loops that are used to attach it. I put it between my legs and clip it to the back of my harness. Has a good length for cleaning top anchors, doesn't get in the way, and doesn't get in the way.
I was canyoneering/rappelling when I was saved from certain death. You're getting the real deal here!.
The straps hold me securely, did not slip, and they are fairly.
This is my personal climbing gear, and I have been using it for more than a year now for multi-pitch climbing with a party of two This daisy chain has proven extremely useful in numerous situations, as it can be deployed for as few as 4 people. All the things I need to do to back up my direct, set up a top belay, and clip gear in front of me are incredibly easy and fast. downside I can see is that it's going to be cumbersome if you do hard sport climbing.
