At the major axis, it should have a minimum breaking strength of 5,175 pounds
Carabiners with bent gates like this orange Spirit are called bent gate carabiners. When you select different colors, the title should change to "bent gate". You will see all the products listed for the Spirit Bent Gate in your cart if you add the carabiner.
Carabiners for climbing/rescue are typically strong in this area. With the gate open, the Petzl Spirit has a force rating of 23kN on the long axis, 8kN on the short axis, and 9kN on the short axis. The force of 225 pounds is equivalent to approximately 1 kN. A 5 175 lbf force can be exerted on it. Alloys made from aluminum will have strength, but lightness (weight) is what manufacturers are looking for A highly guarded secret alloy mix is the key to them battling over fractions of ounces (aka grams). A typical brand of carabiner will be certified / tested by a third party. A number of standards, such as UIAA, ANSI, UL, and CE, must be met.

As far as climbing is concerned, I am not interested. During my time as an administrator at a storage facility, I purchased the lock for the keys bundled together. Until recently, I have only used cheap, not actual carabiners to clip my keys onto. The cows are coming! I love this thing. Apparently it has a gate, if you want to call it that, that opens and closes so smoothly. Besides being pretty, it's also very useful! Although I know I'm supposed to read the specs, it's a lot bigger than the old piece of rubbish I used to carry. Thank you. I'm very pleased with your service. I am very pleased with this phone, it is light, responsive, and it "schnicks", as my husband says. Because of its precision fit, it is a great product to use. The quality of service I received was excellent.
It's the most secure and reliable carabiner ever made. It weighs about 33g to 36g. The gate was opened in a big way. A smooth action is the best. The snag- There should be fewer designs. Several shades of the same It's easy to do one by one This is a left-handed device. Spring feels good and there are lots of opportunities The sound on the clip is I like the natural feel of it. Among the cons We'll bet you can't buy just one at $10 each. It would be incredibly hard to give them up if they ever stopped being manufactured. I currently own 14 that I use every day. Occasionally, I feel like I should have picked the neutrinos with black diamonds instead Nevertheless, I don't like the way they feel in my hand, and who will want to stand 60ft high on a wall and discuss the matter. The feel of these is not pleasing to me.
Would have liked if they were a bit cheaper, but they perform very well despite their durability! The cases are used by my husband every day at work, and they have endured a lot of heavy use.
Petzl is a brand I trust because I used to climb (I'm too fat and old) but I no longer do that. My gym bag now contains hooks for hanging sweaty sneakers from, instead of putting them inside, so I use them on my go bag, key chains, and to hang my key chains. Besides being easy to clip on, their construction is durable, they function well, and they have a great look.
This pulley works with the homemade gym pulley setup I have. Since I have used it with 150 lbs, I have never had an issue.
My old one lasted me years before I gave it to a friend. However, I shouldn't have detached from my carabiner in the first place. This device served me well for so long, but I handed it over to this kid because he said he liked it. It's possible I'll just buy one more.
They're the best. Keys can be kept in the same pocket. You can have this for a lifetime instead of using a cheap one.
In the trees, I connect my chainsaw lanyard with it to my Weaver climbing belt so I can attach my Stihl ms200t to my belt with one hand.
