That carabiner is unfamiliar to me, but these are excellent carabiners.
It's only a tenth of an inch long. I have no trouble getting mine through a half-inch hole.

Petzl is where I usually get all of my climbing and safety equipment. Rope made of sterling silver. The carabiner, on the other hand, is of excellent quality. Three examples: Average weight is 52 grams (Petzl Owall is 67 grams). The gate spring has a lot of force behind it. The gate opening is slightly smaller (20mm vs. 22mm for the Petzl Owall). Carabiner is of a good size. The metal pins that secure the gate are silky smooth. Carabiner pins from Metolius and camp have frayed rope in the past. Overall, I'm glad I went with 3x in the John Long for top rope anchors. This is a quad setup. I'd buy more, and I'm sure I will. br>br>As shown in the image: Compared to the Petzl Spirit Bent Gate (orange) and the Petzl Owall (green oval), the size difference is significant.
AAA rated!.
It's a good fit for my linesman's rope connection. Connecting and disconnecting is a breeze.
The fit and finish are excellent, with bright, gleaming aluminum and a firm gate spring. The forging and flange marks have been removed completely. The dimples on the front of the gate are particularly appealing, as they make it easier to identify and feel when it is in contact with the rope. The rating data is well-presented and easy to understand.
It has a nice polish to it and feels good in the hand. I'm used to the bump on the Black Diamond gate that lets you know when it opens. This one isn't as bumpy, but I don't climb anymore, so it's not a big deal. The Mad Rock oval, in my opinion, outperforms Black Diamond in terms of fit and finish.
The spring is light and strong at the end. What I was looking for. The only drawback is how bright and shiny it is, which will be used for hunting.
The Carbineer does exactly what it says it will. They can be used to help with safety lines when entering and exiting tree stands.
I bought this to use as a handle for my edc pack and to have on hand in case of an emergency. I haven't put it through any weight tests yet, but it has a beautiful finish and appears to be very durable. Even though the weight I need it to hold (maximum 400lbs) is a fraction of what it's rated for, I'm excited to put it to the test.
