I would say it's a bit hard, but not so hard. The only time I used it was to climb on my home climbing wall, but never on a real bloodletting trip. You can make it easy to move by using the straps at either end, or you can wear it as I still think it's a bit pricey, but it seems like it's going to.
The pad is fantastic, and I find that it is very light for its size. In addition to being very comfortable, the waist strap and shoulder straps are equally as comfortable. One of my favorite features is how fast you can pack this up with just one strap. Also, the Velcro pieces you can use to cover the seems between the three sections prevent.
I wanted to pay a little more but this is far beyond what I expected to spend. The pad measures 4' by 6' when closed. There is a trifold version with straps that make it easy to store or transport, and the pad provides good fall absorption for everyday use. It is a product that I recommend.
This one is the best size I have ever acquired. It is made of a durable It's well worth the extra cost due to its larger size.
It's a great value for a large pad of paper. It is really easy to carry the trifold. The problem has been solved.
This pad is perfect for solo climbing. I have a Metolius fat bastard, and it never felt as if it covered enough ground. There is enough space on the pad to feel safe, but it folds up small enough to make walking in the woods more convenient. A benefit of the 6' mattress is that it can be used in the tent, in the car or for guests in your house.
That's exactly what we were looking for!.
