Does it fold into a seating that can be used as a lounging chair? How does it respond to wear?

My current one has served me well for a good 40-plus years The state has returned to its former glory after 50 days of outdoor climbing. Other than the dirt, it still looks and feels awesome. With regards to a chair, it is definitely possible to sit on it you would just need to support the back with something.

Do you mean the mad pad does not have an extra loop to make it suitable for use as a chair? Does it have to be leaning against a tree for it to be used as a chair?

The straps would allow it to be turned into a chair, but it does not have them. All the extra carpet and “diaper” make it very difficult to maneuver in the woods with the padding, but it is much nicer than a regular sleeping bag.

Great crash pad for all your needs! This crash pad has all the features you'd expect! The entire family is in love with For short falls, the pad is a bit firm, but it is of great help on big falls, so you don't sink too soon

It is on the pricey side, but if you plan to use your pad a lot, then this is an excellent option.

The pad is awesome! I am in love with it! After strapping it to my R3, I head out for the day. There are a few falls I've taken from 10+ft and each one of them has been taken care of by this pad. However, I would have preferred the shoulder straps to be more securely attached to the shell, and so far, they haven't shown any signs of wear.

There is just one small flaw, but other than that, it's perfect

I would have given it five stars if it weren't for the blue shoulder strap that was sewn on backwards on the first picture. There is no other crash pad that I use as much as this one. Whether you are hiking or biking, it is the perfect accessory to strap onto your back. This is a pretty lightweight clip that can be added to anything. There is room to fit a ukulele, a breakfast, a book, and a lunch in the blue pouch for a bike ride or hike out to a mountain.
