As a professional climber, I can use this pulley for climbing and other activities where I need to work with a pulley that can take up to 13mm (1/2inch) ropes. Using this pulley will reduce friction and reduce fatigue on stressed parts. It is CE certified and rated for 20 KiloNewtons, 10 per rope side. It is anodized aluminum, so it won't rust over time. Because the cheeks of the pulley sheave are joined together at the base, this has a fixed frame. You have some cool stuff! My garage will love it

The pulley in my garage that holds and hoists stuff is well constructed and is well finished. Though I haven't climbed for many years, the product appears to be strong enough for its purpose. I did not test the product in that capacity. It has helped me keep order in my garage so far and I can say that it is a superduty component- Visit a store. It will keep the sheet of plywood from dropping! I am extremely certain about it!.

Tree Climbing Tool at an Affordable Price

In a nutshell Most tree workers and climbers use this pulley for tending, not as a full-time life support system. That is how I use this and similar pulleys. This is a simple and solid design. This pulley does its job just fine, it may not be as smooth as a pricey pulley, but it does the job just fine. *br

The device worked fine on a 190 lb human test subject

Sure, it has a much higher weight rating than me. It is also used to suspend several other things (each about 150 lbs) so I felt compelled to see how well it would do as a suspension device for myself. There is no problem at all. There are no signs of wear or bending on the pulley. The system runs smoothly even though it is outdated.
