It appears they give the opposite response when they review these on survival websites. Sleep with it inside your By doing so, the bag gets an additional 20 degrees of effective rating. Simply put on a pair of long johns before going out. 90% of the warmth from your body is reflected back, so you don't lose it. The Tact Bivvy can be opened a little if you get too warm. Unzip the bag and roll it back. A lighter bag is also easier to pack, since the lower the bag rating, the heavier the bag In addition, you will still be comfortable knowing that you will be kept
In any weather condition, you should use a lightweight sleeping bag (mummy bag rated +0 to +40 degrees To forecast the bag rating, subtract the wind chill from the outside temperature a ground mat (to reflect the warm air back to you that the ground leech from you) and, finally, a sleeping bag. There is a mattress roll-up as well It will work to put up the mat If you are a big and tall woman, man, or boy, then this mat is for you I find it lovely. It does have a hefty price tag) A heavy-duty waterproof tarp (2"x5" Four feet to four feet You are one foot taller and three feet farther away than you. If you have a foot wider than your shoulder). Your sleeping bag and ground mat should be positioned in the middle of your When you get in the sleeping bag (get comfortable), roll the left-hand side to your stomach and it will make a sound The side of the tarp that is over you and the right-hand side You should lie on your right side over the left side of the tarp (making a burrito). Investigate bushcraft shelters so that you'll know what to do if you need one.
Similarly to an indoor tent, a little condensation can occur, however, the lightweight material is breathable and comfortable to wear. As a result of using mine in Dolly Sods with snow on the ground, my sleeping bag was over 10 degrees warmer after using my bivvy. I would recommend it to others.

Well, I think I learned how to NOT use it, so I will attempt to use it again shortly. During the night, I stayed in the mountains of north Georgia. There was a drop in temperature to the This is the only tent we have, just these bivvys and a tarp over our heads. A creek served as a good place to sleep. It was my mistake to place my sleeping bag inside the bivvy that made things difficult. Because around 2am, I woke up with so much condensation collecting on the inside walls of my bivvy from head to foot. I made that discovery at 2am in the chilly woods, and it was not fun. The following is a list of facts While there was condensation on the window, I stayed warm all night. Strong and recyclable, it can be used again and again. The death I experienced did not affect me.
What a bummer! (that speaks volumes about how this product is) My order was placed when I saw it was going live again and waited for it to be in stock. My first step was to read lots of other reviews. The next ordeal is the "Come to Jesus" talk. There appears to be an unrealistic expectation among some people. Recreational purposes have been the reason for some purchasing this. The bag is only intended for emergency use as a sleeping bag or bivy. This item is not made for comfort! It is not soft or conforming. Having it makes you keep alive in the event that things go wrong with your car and you are stranded You can rely on it to do what it was designed to do and do it The inside of the glove isn't breathable therefore, there will be a need to vent. I know it's a little damp inside, but you're going to be fine! That's what you're trying to accomplish, Because it is more sturdy than other bags of the same purpose, I bought it. Because I'm 5'11" and 260 pounds, I was able to get it to fit me. As part of my bug out bag, I purchased this item. In my experience as a prepper, I spend a lot of time outdoors if I can, so I know what I need, and I understand the limitations of this bag. It is something I would buy My fellow employees and I own similar products by other manufacturers, but I think I will get a second one of these for back up in case I have to bug out for longer It is important to understand what it is for, to stash it, and to hope you will never need.
The city where I live is Portland, There were a lot of people rescued from their cars last year due to ice storms that crippled the city. The purpose of these is to store in family vehicles and to hopefully never use them. This is the sixth order I placed. As fast as they came, they were gone After the order was placed, I received it two days later. The only one I opened was this It would be unfair to compare myself to others. With a height of over six feet and a weight of It was cold in the attached garage when I tried it. Inside one of them, I feel comfortable. I was able to pull the top over my head like a hood when I stood up. I began to feel it warming after a few minutes. The moment I stepped out of the garage again, I was hit with the chill. Having folded and rolled it and put it back in the bag, I got it back into the bag easily. There was some air trapped inside the tube due to the tight squeeze. This is likely to keep you warm so you can stay alive in a car. I'm still going to keep a few extra blankets and fleeces in my car. But I like that we can store these in the car and have them ready to use. My hope is that I will never have to use them in an emergency, but if I do then.
I used it a couple weekends ago while sleeping in a sleeping bag inside. Despite the cold weather, the Bivvy kept us warm when we needed it. There is a chance that this product will trap water vapor, beware. When I changed the sleeping bag after overnight use, it was dripping wet, so I had to hang it In an emergency, this is the best alternative, but think about the breathable kind if you plan on using it every night. The one I have here will be kept for emergence my next purchase will be a breathable sleeping bag.
Since I was flying into the cabin (cub scout training), I didn't know if any bedding would be provided since I wouldn't be able to know until I arrived. When I first arrived in Alaska, I had just this emergency sleeping bag in a relatively "heated" cabin (wood stove). After sleeping very well, the next morning I realized I was quite warm despite having most of my upper body Considering how cozy my bag was, I snuggled in for a few minutes, but as soon as I reached inside, I was soaked. My clothes were so wet that they stuck to me and I turned them inside out to get out of them. The bag had drips coming off it. As a result, we learned the following Plan accordingly if you plan on taking emergency bags. They keep you warm but won't breathe.
On a related This is a great item to have even if you aren't using it as a sleeping bag. I used it under me the rest of the night and it blocked the cold from below.
I predicted that it would work exactly how I expected. Using closed cell 2 as the example, I applied it. Inside an emergency bivy pack, a 25-degree foam mat is placed inside a 20-degree sleeping bag. To keep warm, wool socks and a wool top are worn under the undergarments. Due to an incoming storm, we had to build an emergency shelter. I was warm the whole night and the next morning only had a little condensation on the inside due to the cold. The temperature was around low 20's but I was kept warm all night.
The device is portable. I ordered a second one straightaway for use in my travel bag because I was so impressed with the product. The survival pack I keep at home and am planning to have 3 more ordered so that everyone in the family will be able to have a backup in the case of a power outage would prove useful in the event that I get stuck at an airport due to flight cancellations. We can assure you that you will not be disappointed with this item if you order it.
It is a plastic bag with a silver lining that is orange. There were a number of problems with the carrying bag, including the cord and things to close it. Basically, it was I am returning your message.
