Questions & Answers

Would this be a better option than a foam mattress in a car? Is that okay?

It is not my habit to camp in a car. Airbnbs have crappy mattresses, either too hard or too soft. I bought this to use in Airbnbs. The amazing mattress is packable, insanely comfortable, and will provide varying levels of comfort depending on the comfort level of Foam and air mattress cover is incredibly comfortable. It doesn't need to be covered by a sheet. This was originally my 25" wide one, but I liked it so much that I purchased the 30" wide one to fix my $$$$ Sleep Number bed now sagging and hurting There is no way to overstate how much I like this mattress.

Would there be a product that would link both of these together?

This product lines has been around for a very long time
5/5

I know this because one of the original self-inflating mats my grandparents bought for our timberline backpacking trips in the Rockies dates back to the early 1970's. Despite not having been on any backpacking trips in the last 30 years, it has made numerous truck drives I used this in the back of my SUV to cushion it. There was a time when this system worked and there is a time when it still works. Despite never having any problems (leaking, valve, etc. ), this pad has worked flawlessly since the day it was bought.

Begin to imagine how things would be a few decades ago. This one is getting a little older, and it might benefit from some padding. Within a week. 2) I wanted to purchase two new thicker pads for tent camping in the middle of the country Over a few days I looked at almost every possible pad on Amazon and Google, but I couldn't decide on one. It was not until after I had tried a different 3" pad that I realized ThermoPac did not offer a 3" pad Even the rest of the company was This was a bad decision. This is a very big, very big It did not inflate to the advertised 3 inches after 24 hours upon arrival however, one seemed to inflate ok after inflating for 24 hours. I think it would be more like two This is about two and a half inches. After an extended period of sitting, the other never inflated more than 2", even after being left to sit for three days. Both pads could have been inflating to more than they already were. However, I concluded that the latter would never inflate beyond its original size (even with blowing into it) because the covering was too small, crushing the foam inside The latter pad was clearly defective and was ordered as a replacement. After a few days, a new one arrived. As a result of repeating the above process, the replacement pad was even worse. There were some spots where it only grew 2" and others where it grew much less. The outer material must have been It didn't matter how much air I tried to blow into any of them, none of them ever reached the 3" mark or looked anything like their advertisements. It was when I learned that the almost-working pad had actually leaked that I threw in the towel. This is stunning. There are three losers out of three. Here is the world of Chinese shell companies who sell defective garbage in the US under the guise of being US companies, either lying about where their products are made or refusing to reveal it. I also want to add thank you for turning a blind eye while your platform becomes nothing but a crap dump for Chinese When I went browsing on Amazon in search of replacements, thermo Fisher discovered their products While the rest of the business was still in operation, it was selling self-made products Using the air pump to inflate the I hope that the new Thermoforms will make a positive difference My replacement rest pads are the same quality as my originals and work just as well as they did the first time. It is important to remember that camping gear is not disposable, it is an investment and it should last you a lifetime. - * Thermocouple It is still possible to buy rest pads My 'vintage' photo was in my vintage photo box My 3" version, which is two times the thickness of my backpacking model, definitely has a lot more support than the one I use for backpacking. Updates will be made to this review if any issues arise. There are two ways to use the Compared to the Chinese versions, rest pads cost nearly 2x as much. Self-cleaning system is an excellent choice for those searching for one During inflation of a pad, you need to If you want to save a few bucks on a cheaper pad, think long and hard before you make a decision. Reading hundreds of reviews has been a great experience for me It was obviously fake or the reviewers hadn't used the product yet (or more than once). The Wellax pads and Wellax relabeled pads have way more problems than they appear in these reviews. I've been stuck miles into the back country with junk gear - I've got me a new mountain bike. Spending a few bucks to save a few hours of sleep does not warrant the frustration and sleepless nights. Also, if the pad, says, lasts for just a little while beyond the refund period, you will end up paying the same fee.

The mattress is very comfortable and does not self-inflate
4/5

This mat functions very well as it's comfortable, lightweight (but nonetheless substantial), and remarkably quiet. It's not misleading to state that the balloon is self inflating, as you inflate it yourself. While it is a bit of a hassle to get it anywhere you need it to be, it is doable. It's not going to take a lot of hard work to make it firm, but it's not nothing either.

There are a lot of product defects in the market
3/5

In the 80's, I bought my first thermarest camp mattress, which was of excellent quality and lasted for many years, so when I was in the market for a new camp mattress, thermarest was my first choice. A long story short, I bought the mattress and slept on it every night for about 3 months before this large blister appeared, the mattress cover had separated from the foam, which caused the blister to appear. The replacement process began when I called cascade designs, the manufacturer of thermarest, and spoke with one of their customer service representatives, Jeff. I received the new luxury map after a wait of one month and slept on it for less than two months before the mattress developed the same blisters as the original. I called cascade designs for a refund, almost $200 for a product I no longer had During my contact with their customer service representative, the representative advised that all they could do is replace the item, a refund would have to come from Amazon since I had purchased the item After contacting Amazon about the refund, they agreed to do so. There are better ways to spend your money, since $200 is far too much to spend on this product. long-time customer, I was willing to give cascade designs/thermarest the benefit of the doubt. However, after receiving two mattresses that were defective within six weeks, my mind was completely changed. Consumers should be aware that this product is defective.

Not quite as smooth as it might seem
4/5

Canoe camping down rivers has been part of my life now for 10 years, and I've never known what good sleep is like until recently. Although this Pad is one of the best tent camping pads no matter what the weather, it only has one downside, which is the size. As opposed to other self-inflating pads it does require quite a bit of The sleeping bag is a great option for campers who like the comfort of a bed amidst the wilderness.

There is a difference in size between the advertised and actual sizes The canvas is 22" wide instead of 25"
3/5

It meets expectations, and it works well as a mattress pad. Our plan was to fill up a space that we made for it with 2 of them. We had to add a filler since the advertised dimensions were 22" rather than 25".

A thermodynamics term You might be sleeping on the best mattress ever! "Self-sufficient" is not fully achieved It may not be exactly an inflation, but it's Adding the map top to your luxury bedding ensures you get the "bed feeling" *At one time, I owned a standard Therm-O-Rad – only a few years old
