Questions & Answers

Do you think this is more comfortable than a thermarest? I have severe back pain and have resorted to carrying eggcrate foam to improve the comfort of my 25 year old ?

Several factors have led me to believe that I am a candidate for the position. It helps me sleep better because I have broad shoulders and like to change my position as much as possible while The narrowness of my old thermarest would often cause me to roll off of it and wake up on the ground. I have only found a reasonably priced ultra light pad that is wide enough for my needs in the wide-width version of this (25in). The second point It is loftier than the Thermarest, so it can be left deflated to complement your personal In order to keep the thermarest mostly inflated, you have to keep it at a consistent level since it has a very narrow range before it is so deflated that it touches the You can play with the fullness more with this thing. In addition, it is significantly warmer than my old sleeping bag, lighter and smaller, and packs down into a more compact size. As far as durability is concerned, it has been equally solid. There was only one advantage to me of the thermarest, and that was that it was self-inflating As inflation increases. There is no lung irritation with this pad A power source. You can inflate it in less than a minute, although the process may take a little longer. Lastly, the flat-width of this pad (25in) has a dump valve that allows it to deflate in a matter of seconds. It takes a slight bit longer for the regular width (20in) to deflate than the smaller one. A wide shoe would be a better choice for you unless saving a few ounces or a few dollars is a top priority to you.

How does Amazon fit into the authorized dealer category? When purchasing from Amazon, will the lifetime warranty be valid?

My brand new, unused one leaked when it was brand new. This item has been returned by the seller.

Where does the R value come from?

Despite what they claim, Nemo provides an R value for their sleeping pad. There is a saying that it is comfortable to go

Are you asking if this is the insulated version of the Nemo Tensor sleeping pad?

It makes a great gift for anyone! It is an insulated one and it works well! The air pad will no longer transfer cold ground for a long time! The insulation is incredible! It does a fantastic job! The cost of Billy chop is steep, but worth it

The light was warm, and the leak was not contained Upon completion of eight days of hiking, you will be free
5/5

It has been my experience to not be impressed with the quality of ultralight sleeping pads. Often my tent is shared with a dog who is hard on my gear and I backpack with two dogs. An ultralight pad that lasts for only a few days is not an ideal recipe. In order to reduce this problem, I have been using a very heavy (26 ounce) pad for the last several Though it performed well, I did not like the additional weight and bulk, especially since I was trying to reduce the weight of my pack. Having tried ultralight pads in the past, I decided to give the Nemo Tensor Insulated Pad a second try this year. The following is an initial impression of the device after using it for eight nights in the Sierra. A warm welcome As I recall, there was no cold weather at all even as the temperatures reached the 20s F. The only insulation beneath me has to do with the pad because I sleep with my sleeping bag quilt style (unzipped). A 10-point scale based on its 10 scores If you gave me a 20 degree rating, I would probably give you a four If temperatures were expected to drop below 20 F for extended periods, I would pad the season. Indicators of durability My time is limited, so I will have to leave. Eight days of usage will be sufficient for determining its long-term durability, but so far it is holding up. The pad I use for my tent is crushed granite, pine needles, and pumice. I weigh about 210 pounds and my dog is 45 pounds (he doesn't fit on the pad with me but often lays on it or steps on it while I'm setting up my tent). A leak did not result from either the ground or our bodies. Any changes to the situation will be updated in this review. The following outlines the weight and packability of a product I measured the weight at a hair under 15 ounces on my digital scale. Despite rolling up nicely, it's easy to fit it into a stuff sack or wedge it between other gear in your backpack if you don't want to use the stuff The inflation/deflation rate I have never seen a deflation like this. For packing, I usually have to unroll and roll the pad multiple times in order to fully expel all the air. This one won't work for me. You can roll it after you unbolt the valve, fold it in thirds, and rebolt it. After all the air has been removed, the bag is ready for packing as soon as it is opened. The pumpsack included with the kit works fairly well for inflating. Although I don't like how the pumpsack can't be used for anything else, it is a classic feature. The Sea to Summit Airstream Pump Dry Sack weighs only one pound, so I switched it for it. In addition to being a pump for my Nemo, it can also be used as a dry compression bag for my sleeping bag. I liked the quietness of the street, and the traction was not too bad. There was a surface resembling that of a cotton sheet on the heavier sleeping pad. You can't always expect the best performance from an ultralight pad, so you should be prepared with this in mind. It feels like sleeping on plastic and squeaks a little, but otherwise it's still comfortable. The ultralight pad does not produce the crinkly sound of potato chip bags like some other ultralight pads do. I give this pad a score of 4 based on my eight day experience with it. I have given this a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. If in the future I have any issues with it, I will update the review.

I recommend this sleeping pad for side sleepers
5/5

After searching for a sleeping pad for so long, I have found it! After experimenting with a wide variety of sleeping pads for the better part of three years, I have decided that I hate them all. In addition to my height, I weigh 220 pounds and sleep on my side. It was impossible for me to find a sleeping pad as comfortable as this one until I discovered this one. I took it out over the weekend where the lows were in the mid-30's. It didn't disappoint at all!.

It's a great pillow, but the padding isn't very sturdy
3/5

Since I've used it four times in 2 weeks, I don't think it merits a 5 star rating. Backpacking trips of three days. Moreover, there have been two instances where I had to patch seams that appeared to be torn. Due to a patch that failed to bond to my snow camping pad last weekend, I had to buy a new one. The valve was leaking on the seam near the seam, so I spent the day blowing it up again. It would take about 10 minutes for me to regain my heat after being blown back up from the ground. Repairs in the field are not feasible with the patch kit. In addition to all that, this pad is incredibly comfortable, lightweight, packs easily, and is This is the case when it is working.

Despite being thicker than most pads, it is The bag I used to inflate the air was great
5/5

The first time I used it, I had my doubts, but then I The first time I inflated the inflation bag, I attempted to blow it up like Air is not as necessary as you might think. To spread it open, simply hold back on your breath and blow until it opens. It is also effective to have a strong breeze. Rather than blowing into a tube, it can easily be inflated. A nice design feature of the pad was the double valve. As for attaching the inflation bag and deflating the pad when I was finished, neither was a problem. As compared to thinner pads, I find this pad more comfortable. With this one, I can easily sleep on my side as it has the extra height I need. Whether it is insulated or not is up to the customer The insulation works. Getting the insulated one may cost more, but it will be worth it when it is really.

This is the best sleeping pad on the market! There are many different backpacking sleeping pads on the market, and I've tried them all! I love this a lot! The regular wide insulation ended up working out best for me
5/5

This is not enough insulation to use it for winter backpacking, but it works just fine for three-season camping Season's greetings! If you are one of the people who toss and turn all night, the wide mattress could be the answer for you. My regular is 5'9" and well suited to my height. With my backpack under my feet, I didn't have any problems getting my feet to the other end. I love the comfort of this! A closed cell 3/4-length insulation was also tucked beneath the roof for extra support and because I like having as much insulation as possible. There is also a VERY QUIET atmosphere here. You should give this a try. So far, I have used it about 20 nights and I am happy with it!.

I admit that I was skeptical of the inflation bag attachment at first
5/5

However, it is well worth the price. I was wrong, as it turned out. Three or four scoops of air are all you will need to get this pad inflated quickly. My pad is 1 inch thick, and I have been sleeping on it There was a big difference between the NEMO sleeping pad and the NEMO sleeping bag. The product is worth every penny. It packs down incredibly small, making it perfect for backpacking trips, and it's insulation helps keep much of the cold surface air at bay. This was my first backpacking trip at a high elevation with temperatures around 25 degrees, and it performed well.

A great pad, but it seems to have been manufactured with a quality issue
3/5

This pad feels very comfortable, I like the light weight and packed size. I found the inflation sack to be absolutely fantastic I thought it was just a gimmick but it actually worked! I took it on a camping trip that lasted 8 days for 3 hours, and it did not last that long. The vendor did however take it back and is refunding my money.
