Only one of the six blankets that were supposed to be included were actually received.
I expected six packages, but there was only one: a single blanket! Rip- off!.
In comparison to my older Korean-speaking friends, what appears to be of lesser quality. The thickness of the reflective material in Mylar sheets is important (although it comes off easier with older ones). I can see more light through the film because the reflections aren't as clear. That means they don't reflect nearly as much infrared. Of course, to reduce convective and/or conductive heat loss, "dead air" insulation, such as a coat or fleece, is required in many applications. The radiative part of the equation is aided by these "blankets. " They'll suffice for that. I'm not planning on using them in any of my projects. There are no zero conditions. I'm not sure I'd have paid more than a buck each for them.
I've been looking for a way to protect myself since I noticed how high the EMF (Electromagnetic Field) output around my circuit breaker box is. After reading online that Mylar is effective at blocking EMF, I decided to purchase one of these blankets and hang it in front of my CB box. It has the appearance of a small golden curtain: Most importantly, it significantly reduced the amount of EMF that was directed into my kitchen. This is something I would strongly suggest to anyone with a CB radio in their bedroom - You'd be surprised at how many people have them in their rooms. One of the blankets is also kept in my car in case of an emergency. For a great price, you can't beat this!.
On hot summer days, I display them in my south-facing windows. You can see enough through them to see what's going on outside, and the rectangular folds throughout make them look pretty cool. You've done a fantastic job of keeping my upstairs south-facing. It's 20 degrees cooler in the room now than it was before I put them up. We don't have air conditioning up here in Maine, so this is a huge time saver.
br>In the truck, I keep a couple of them. in the event of an emergency They are inexpensive enough to give away not only in the event of an emergency, but also if I see an accident or a homeless person who could use one. I also used one to keep the sun out of my south-facing bedroom window and make it cooler. In my bathroom window, I also have seeds and tomato plants, which I use to reflect sunlight onto the plants. They can be used for a variety of things.
Six units were to be included in the order. There was just one of them. I informed the seller, who promptly sent me a replacement package of six. I am extremely pleased.
These are truly wonderful things; They do a fantastic job of retaining heat. It's also very cool that it's waterproof. A great gift for strangers that only costs me a buck or two but can make a significant difference in someone's life.
