For a trip, I needed bug spray, but I did not want the typical diet scent that most bug sprays had, so I bought this unscented OFF product! The substance repels. There's no such thing as that As the aerosol is sprayed on the skin, you get a refreshing but cool sensation. While the product is advertised as unscented, there is a faint aroma that is pleasant and not distracting in any way. Since I've been using it outside for about a month now, I prefer not to worry about mosquitoes or gnats biting Despite the fact that I had to reapply it after only 2 hours (per directions), I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it did not last as long as other sprays. The spray will therefore be used more throughout the day since I will have to use it more often. I have been using the exact Off! product for years. I buy Walmart insect repellents that are unscented. I get the ones that are Nine ounces of beer were in these The ones I got from Amazon were what I started using after I finished my old bottle. After I received the product, I was shocked to find that it was completely unscented. I thought perhaps the manufacturer had made it like that, but that's not the case. My blanket was sprayed under this type of spray to keep spiders from biting me. Perhaps it had something to do with the type of mosquitoes we have in South Georgia or perhaps I simply have an irresistible attraction to mosquitoes, but I could have been naked It did not matter if I sprayed heavily all over including my clothes, forehead, neck, and ears. I had bite marks everywhere on my face after they ripped through my clothes. When it is 95 degrees outside, I just want to be able to work on my vegetable garden without heavy layers and a jacket on. It wasn't the answer I was looking for.

7% DEET is all that is in this product. If you want to prevent mosquito bites, you'll need DEET with at least 20% concentration. My skin got chewed up on this product while backpacking in the Sierra Nevada (Yosemite and Sequoia NPs) I thought I would need to switch brands until I did. You can save money by doing this.

My personal opinion is that it's not truly "unscented," as it does have a distinct scent. It smells a little like a mixture of alcohol and aloe vera to me. Yet it has an altogether different smell from that of its predecessor. Insect repellent of any kind that I have Whenever I hear of a *truly* unscented insect repellent, I find myself wanting to get my hands on it. The one below will have to do for now.

I like this as a moisturizer in general, but for being unscented, it's not really that good. When someone puts it on, you will definitely know. It doesn't smell bad, but there is a distinct odor. Its main purpose is to keep bugs away, so it does what it says!.
