For traveling, it was a bit too bulky for me and I did not like the 1/2 gallon size. However, for a day outdoors, this stuff worked very well for me! There's no other stuff that works like this! Oh, and did I mention there are no awful odors? I have been using it for a few days now, and I have not noticed any scent. It feels a bit oily, but it is more tolerable than suntan lotion. It is impossible not to like Sawyer- it has become my new favorite bug repellent! I wish I had found it years ago.

It's not greasy on your skin, and it smells nice, while Deet stinks and is greasy. The plastic pen in your hand or the keyboard or your glasses or your camping gear do not become dissolved in this chemical like DEET does. DEET still has a place in the world, but why?.
