These little cans contain only a little bit of food. The three of us sprayed down our calves twice, emptied (well almost) an entire can of urine. I say "emptied," but it's not totally accurate - we think we emptied it somewhat. I feel like there is about a 1/2 in of propellant left in the bottom of the can when new propellant runs out.
The mosquitoes were slower for a short period of time. Did not keep them, but was chased by one mosquito that was very persistent. It seemed some even began flying directly at me in the cloud of OFF.
Recently, I purchased a large piece of forest land, and my wife and I became meals for chiggers unbeknownst to us. The product was purchased to avoid repeating the same mistake again. I tried it on my skin and clothes and wasn't bitten after that. I spent several hours cleaning small trees and brush after applying to my skin and clothes. I didn't like the fragrance and couldn't wait to take a shower. Some people commented that they liked the scent, but I couldn't. In the past, I have tried to spray on my clothes as often as I can because of my chigger experiences. It appears that the spray will also leave a white residue on your clothing if it is applied too.
During a hiking trip in Hawaii I ventured into the forest. We found the repellent to be easy to apply and to have a pleasant scent (despite trying to not breathe it The three hours of hiking did not result in any bites for either of us. One thing to keep in mind is that the can contains a propellant, which means that if you spray on clothes (especially dark clothes), they might be left with Although they were easy to wash off, it's a good idea to be mindful of it.

During the last three days of camping in Vermont in late August and early September, I used this. Since this doesn't keep all of the mosquitoes away, I give it a 4 star rating. There's something about this smell that makes you breathless. The word "perfume" is not appropriate because the smell so strong rather than being similar. For some reason, I could not use it on my kids. However, I disliked the sticky feeling it gave me, but it did decrease the amount of bites we received. My favorite thing about Amazon is that I forgot to get it at the local store, so I get it there instead. Each and every. A single person. It is now.
