There is no doubt that it is a personal choice. If you were to use it for backpacking or more extreme activities, the aerosol would have a more durable construction.
Your ability to do so seems reasonable. Although my husband does that, he usually wears older clothing when he is working in the yard. As far as I can tell, no oily or residue-like spots have appeared. I found this spray to be quite effective and did not have the smell that Off had. During the summer, we use it whenever we are outside.

It works the best of any method. In the case of mosquitoes, Picaridin is best. This product worked well for me in South Carolina, where we experienced the biting No See Ums. There is a need for bug spray here almost every day and this one smells better than ones I have tried. The problem with that is that it is expensive so I don't like to make it available for free to people who have forgotten It is probably selfish, but most people don't realize the cost of the expensive product is twice as much as the cheap, ineffective stuff.

I always use this product. Having an allergy to mosquitoes keeps me sane in the summer months as I live in Florida where mosquitoes can be quite vicious. Thank God, I don't get bitten anymore!.
