My usual blue chemical comes from Academy, but the containers are difficult to work with (they always spill and drip), so I decided to try Camco's TST in smaller, easy to handle bottles. The batteries aren't working for me, so maybe I got a bad batch. I am using two bottles in a five gallon portable toilet until I am done with them. I don't need to leave it more than a few days as long as I don't leave it for too long. In the aftermath, the process of emptying it nearly makes me sick. There was a lot of pressure on me to get this going Working with the bottles is much easier than with cans or cans.
Even though it arrived on time and was well packaged, was easy to use and even smells good, the scent is the only reason we bought it and it doesn't last more than a day or two before it loses its odor. It was even unsatisfactory to get one bottle when there were two bottles available. It is because of this that only two are available. The stars are there. If the scent would last longer and keep odors down as tested, then this would be a perfect product for camping and short excursions.
For our 40 gallon safe, nothing came out. It did not break down the waste in any way. The smell was not there, but it did not break down. I took four more bottles in hope it would break down, and then I ordered some Aqua Chem which we had always used before.
Getting rid of black tank deposits is easy with this product. We have taken our RV on a dozen outings and it still smells like new. The following information is noted Every time you explore the outdoors, make sure you empty AND flush your black tank.
It lasts for about 3-4 days at most This is the fourth day. You might want to dump every three to four months This would be good for at most four days. It wouldn't last any more than five days, I'd guess.
The author highly recommended this. It's easy to use, and you can pour a lot of water into the potty in the camper. Additionally, you can find 'pod' types of the same brand that work well. Additionally, there was something else I'd purchased for my RV that came with them. Despite our 30 gal black tank, I only have to use one bottle of this every few trips. My camper does not smell, and it works great for me!.
The boat we own has a 28 gal tank. It is a very dull scent, and I used 1 full bottle every time. The smells aren't kept at bay as efficiently as they could be. My husband even tried to pour two bottles into the toilet and it still failed. I tried that too, but it did not work. Even though it is a good price, I am disappointed that it does not.
I have tried another brand once when I had a bind and had issues. One bottle for a cleaned 30 gal tank, plus a gallon or two of water, and you should be.
