While I live in Minnesota, I have a travel trailer, but I usually stay in state and national parks that do not have any hookups. I camp all year long while I live in Minnesota. It goes without saying that we don't really want to use the black tank in the RV or aren't able to sometimes. My son had an upset stomach a few weeks ago on a trip. I'm pretty sure he ate something that upset his stomach. As a result, he sat on the toilet for a long time, which gave off a bad smell. By using these bags, I was able to turn his runny mess into a solid lump that was completley sealed shut. I ended up just tossing the bag with the rest of the garbage after finding there was no odor in the bag. Anybody who is interested in them should definitely check them out.
You're right, this is what you'll need for our "Go Anywhere Toilet Kit", which we use when we're camping outdoors and cannot find a flushing toilet. The system looks pretty cool. If the empty bag doesn't have any crystals in it yet, shake it for a few seconds before using it so that the crystals land in their correct spot. The technology behind it is pretty amazing.
