The GPS interface is also clunky. It's fine with me that you have those issues, but this device has a major flaw When importing custom maps, there is no way for you to disable them. The result of this is that no other maps will be visible while a custom map is installed. Only removing the custom map can give you access to the other maps. After contacting Garmin technical support, they recommended I put the custom maps on an SD card and then remove the card when I want to shut the device down. I can't believe what a laughable process that is. It was a major letdown for me since custom maps made up a large part of the reason I purchased the game. This is something that was not considered in garmin's design process for this device. It is basic functionality that is available on other models and was totally ignored. The problem is a bug, and it needs to be fixed.
My role is always to be the number one. A meter of accuracy (6 feet) is the equivalent of a nine-foot measurement On the 64SX, you have 15 feet of room.
With this GPS, I am very satisfied with its quality and functionality. Garden TOPO 2009 NE US Map microsSD card was my purchase so I could get the closest topo map to the USGS one, and it seems to be adequate. I had a slight problem using Base Camp to work with trails on my computer, but that was easily resolved.
Keeping a 64S is the right thing to do! A GPS upgrade is not worth it with this one.
