Hello, the ad depicts a collapsed lantern rather than a battery. It does, in fact, necessitate three AA batteries. I didn't purchase my original lantern on Amazon, but I did come to look at the questions when I went to buy a replacement. Oh, and I'm having to replace mine because it kept getting borrowed once people realized how great it is, until it was eventually lost. I'm going to buy a few more to give as presents!
Feb. 2019 - They're now 100 lumens, according to the box I just got.
I just disassembled mine to make the lens "frosty" rather than clear (to keep my retinas from burning!). Above the battery compartment is a microswitch. To turn the switch off, a long spring attached to the LED array presses against it. The switch is obviously released by extending. The cover for the battery compartment can be installed in four different positions (rotating 90 degrees between them). The spring would never press the normally-open door if it wasn't in the right one of the four. closed switch (turning off the light while opening the circuit). If your machine does not turn off, I'd suspect a misaligned cover plate or a broken spring. Either way, it would be a relatively simple fix. I was also surprised to discover that the long center screw had been installed backwards. The nut is captured by the bottom end of the plastic. It made disassembly a little more difficult at first (you'll need a 7mm socket or an open-ended wrench). wrench has come to an end

This thing, uh, is quite luminous. Super bright, like insanely so. It's like staring into the sun in the dead of night once you crack the sucker open. When they say this is a bright lantern, they're not kidding. The only criticism I have is that when you first open it, you only get that one setting. Whether it's as bright as the sun or pitch black, there's something for everyone. There is no such thing as a free lunch. between. You can close it slightly to reduce the brightness, but it's really designed to light up the world, not just your campsite; I've had mine for a year and have yet to replace the batteries. During the summer, I go camping frequently, and this is a fantastic lantern that I bring with me to light up my site, as well as everyone else's within a 10-mile radius. This is a dazzling lantern, to say the least. It's absolutely incredible. I intend to re-use it. As soon as my eyesight recovers from the last time I used it, that is.
Arrived on time and double boxed for extra protection. Smaller boxes can be used to store lanterns. br>It's incredibly simple to turn on and the light is extremely bright. br>I won't be able to comment on battery life until I have had the opportunity to use it. br>Perfect for my small apartment in the event of a power outage. br>I'll admit that I don't think the lanterns are strong enough for heavy use, such as camping, but they're perfect for use in the comfort of your own home! br>I strongly advise you to try it.
Everyone, regardless of where they live, requires a reliable light in the event of an emergency, camping, or a blackout. This is an excellent option. It's extremely bright and can easily light up a room. It opens wide to let in light and closes tightly to shut it off. It's incredibly simple to operate, and the body is well-made. It can be easily stored in a drawer next to a bed because the metal handles fold down. It isn't overly heavy, and even a small child could use it. The LEDs are extremely bright and do not get hot to the touch. Everyone in the house now has a reliable light to turn to when they need it with the set of four.
After losing power, I had the opportunity to use these lights for the first time; they are extremely bright, which can be beneficial in some cases, but not in this case. They're so bright that they're almost painful to look at. They can only be used in a high-hanging position. a lot of It will not work if you put it on a coffee table or a dining room table. Perhaps a frosted shade to diffuse the LED intensity would be beneficial. Unfortunately, these will not work for us, so we'll have to find something else to use in the event of a power outage, and, more importantly, during hurricane season. It's easy to see why they're marketed as camping lanterns. They might just work if they're hung from trees around the camp site because they're so bright. Not suitable for use at tables or in situations where they will be in close proximity to people, such as during hurricanes.
I just got my Vont VNT- 4 pack. Batteries are included in the CL03 camping lanterns. They all lit up nicely and are plenty bright for my needs, and the lanterns appear to be sturdy. When I tried to activate the lifetime warranty, I was told that I needed to let a third-party update my already-updated software. Without allowing the update, I couldn't move on to the next step. Do they have any idea how hazardous this is? I guess there will be no warranty for me.
It's made of low-cost plastic. Still, don't be fooled by their appearance. These aren't made from Pelican Case material. br>I figured the lamp could be smarter and only turn on the LEDs on the exposed side when I opened it. So it would only use a small amount of energy if I opened it a little bit. But the way it works is that as soon as you open it a little bit, all of them light up. As a result, regardless of how much light you require, it consumes the same amount of energy.

They were used in conjunction with plug-in lights on the left and completely alone on the right in my photo, so you can see how much light they produce! They are also extremely light.

Hurricane Irma knocked out power for NINE DAYS in 2017. UPDATING REVIEW AFTER BUYING TWO MORE, ONE AS A GIFT and the other as a backup (Hurricane Irma knocked out power for NINE DAYS, which was a nightmare).
