I bought this one, then went to Amazon and bought another one that was a dollar cheaper, thinking they were the same thing, but they aren't. For instance, this one is more valuable than the dollar difference; This one has a much longer cord (which is useful for hanging it at any distance from the power source), a metal hanger/hook (which the other brand lacks), and an on/off switch (which is a huge plus for a hanging light). In addition, this light uses only 3 watts (the other uses 5) and emits a warm, natural glow (the other emits a color-sucking florescent white like at work). Spend the extra dollar; you'll be glad you did. I'm an artist who is picky about the light I live in; this one is warm and inviting, while the other is bleak and lonely in the winter.

I am not pleased. If the switch had not been placed at the very end of a long cord, almost touching the wall plug, this could have easily been a five-star product. I needed a reading light near my bed that I could turn off from the comfort of my bed. This plug would have been perfect except for the fact that the switch is so close to the plug that I unplug it almost every time I touch the switch. In fact, the switch is so close to the plug that I can't touch it without touching the plug. br>I'm disappointed that the switch is so close to the plug; after all, what good is a switch on the cord if you have to get out of bed and go to the wall socket to turn it off? I usually end up unplugging it by accident when I'm trying to reach the switch, which is dangerous. Getting on my nerves!.

Can light up and shine brightly, but I'm concerned that it will melt whatever is rattled inside the bulb! There is no rattling sound from the other bulb!
