Questions & Answers

What distinguishes this version from the first?

For the biggest win, the runtime is 18 hours vs. 12 hours. The extra brightness modes (especially "low"), the adjustable strap, top and bottom straps, and the power meter br>Clearly, this is a "2." 0" model from the following generation. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a Lux 2 as well. 0 - I'm surprised the Emerg doesn't have a longer run time - I'm hoping they refresh the rest of the line.br>I'm also surprised the Emerg doesn't have a longer run time - Because an emergency necessitates a longer run time, the Emerg's smaller size and weight make it a better camping/backpacking model.

It has a pleasing appearance. Is it able to withstand water?

Because the part you blow up is made of plastic, I don't think water would have any effect on it. The solar panel is located on the Luci's bottom. That may or may not be waterproof. A small amount of water would probably suffice, but complete immersion could pose a problem. Our Luci's is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. We have one in each car and found them to be very useful while camping in the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone last year.

What is the color temperature of this light and how many lumens does it have?

Lumens should be checked with the manufacturer, but I definitely keep my eyes away from the brightest setting to avoid pain! The color should be provided by the manufacturer as well.br> However, it is not an indoor warm white; rather, it is a cool/cold white.

Has anyone tried it in extremely hot weather? I'm especially curious if it can withstand the sun in Haiti. ?

Our lighting has been used in some of the world's most extreme environments! The operating temperature range is 15 degrees Fahrenheit to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature is 122 degrees Fahrenheit. You are welcome to take them to Haiti.

After just one camping trip, it was completely ruined
3/5

When I emailed customer service, I got no response. I do a lot of backpacking and hiking, so being able to strap something this small to the outside of my pack and charge it all day sounded fantastic, and it did until it didn't. I took it on a single trip and used it every night for a few months before putting it away. We knew our power would be out at our new place, so I grabbed this from the garage to use in the evening. The light portion continues to function normally, but it is unable to hold any air - As a result, it isn't able to support itself - because the ends and sides have simply separated I was sitting in my garage in a plastic tub. Its light is now skewed and distorted, rendering it nearly useless. br>br>I attempted to contact their customer service about this but received no response; if I had, I would have given it a two-star rating. It's a shoddy piece of junk, and their customer service is unresponsive.

The Luci Light is still amazing
4/5

almost!. I purchased this light to bring with me to Liberia, West Africa, where my electricity is unreliable. The number one has been used. There's no version there, and I'm a big fan of my Luci Lights! I usually use the Luci when the power goes out at night and I need to do things like wash dishes, get ready for bed, get around the house, or read in bed. When my power went out the first night, I immediately noticed a flaw in the 2. The power button on my older lights is in the middle, directly under the strap, but the buttons on this light are on one side; the problem is, you don't know which side the buttons are on when you're sitting in complete darkness, so I was constantly sliding my fingers around the edges trying to find them. I wound up hammering a nail into the wall. The polish blob on the power button (resourceful, braille style) was a little more useful in locating my power button. Aside from that, I continue to enjoy the benefits of light-weighting. It's light, takes up no room in my luggage, has a strap that makes it easy to hang when an overhead light is required, charges indefinitely (I only had to charge mine once in two months due to fluctuating power at night), and so on.

That is not the case
3/5

I ordered a LUCI and liked it so much that I ordered another one from the same page, but the second LUCI was not the same as the first. The circumference and height were both slightly smaller. The hanging strap is shorter and the lights are not as bright because it does not hold air and collapses under its own weight. The lights are closer together and have a yellowish cast to them. I'm surprised that a product with such a well-known and popular brand has no quality control. Both were Amazon Prime, but the packaging was thrown out on recycle day before I could compare them and determine that the second one was inferior. I wanted two LUCI's and ended up with one and a knockoff.

This is the second of two
5/5

0 redesign that addresses both of my issues with the previous design! When you turn them on, they don't turn off. You do not need to reactivate them. br>2. The top hook is of higher quality, and it can be snapped onto a wire or a rail! br>br>I also believe that the battery life is better and that they charge faster, but this could just be my imagination. This is how I imagined the first generation to be. As you can see, I purchased one and then purchased two more.

Although it is small and lightweight, it is not very durable or bright
3/5

Isn't it true that good lighting should be used in both situations?   Pro's:
- -It's very light and compact. br>- It is charged by the sun. br>- Loops for hanging on a variety of objectsbr>br>Cons:
- Not a long-lasting productbr>- It's not very bright. br>br>So, if you're looking for something super light and compact, this is it. It only weighs 5. It's 44 ounces and the size of a small cup saucer when packed. When you're carrying it, you won't even notice it's there. Another advantage is that it is solar-powered, so there is no need to worry about running out of battery power. You can charge it while hiking by looping it to the back of your pack with the light's loops. These are great features in this little light. However, this light, in my opinion, has some serious drawbacks. It's made of a particularly soft and flimsy material. Walking in the woods, I just don't see it holding up very well. It seems to me that poking this with a thorn and ruining the whole thing would be extremely easy. In addition, it isn't particularly bright. It didn't put out much light even on the brightest setting. You wouldn't be able to do much with it besides light the small area immediately surrounding it. As a result, I don't think it's necessary to bring this light along on a hike; instead, I'd recommend bringing something else. br>br>** Please let Amazon know if my review was helpful by clicking the helpful button below. Excellent light that is always reliable
5/5

Served as the sole source of illumination during a 5-week camping trip. I bought two so that I would have plenty of time to recharge if the weather turned cloudy. It was easy to find my way to the restrooms because there was plenty of light. Once charged, it lasts an incredible amount of time. Even on the lowest setting, it can be used as a reading light. This is a purchase you will not be sorry for! Bye-bye, hazardous batteries. One is now used for car emergencies, and the other is used to power my yome in the event of a power outage.

In both literal and figurative terms, this is a fantastic product
5/5

Wonderful product; I've used it to read for hours during power outages, and it illuminates the entire room. I've taken it camping with me and found it to be quite useful. I adore the fact that I no longer need to buy batteries! It takes very little time to charge. The company that manufactures them is very socially responsible, donating some of the lanterns and profits to places without electricity, such as Puerto Rico and other places. I've given a lot of these as gifts, and everyone seems to enjoy them and find them useful. To keep charged, simply place it near a sunny window.

This is fantastic! Light- light, bright, adjustable, and long-lasting a long-lasting charge These are INCREDIBLY creative! We have six of them, and when we sit on the porch, down by the creek, or in a clearing on our property, we pull them out and place them under the trees as permanent landscaping lights
5/5

They are extremely bright (with three brightness levels and a strobe), weigh almost nothing, and have a snap-open strap that can be wrapped around a tree branch or line to easily mount them and carry multiples at once. They'll stay lit all night long if they're fully charged. We've had ours for about four months and they're still in excellent condition. I can't say how cool these are enough!.
