When the power goes out, this is fantastic. And I'm an elderly lady with arthritic hands - Grasping the top and bottom and gently pulling them apart to make them light up is no problem at all. By closing them, you can control the amount of light that comes in. There are no latches or screws, and replacing batteries is a breeze. A small panel at the bottom of the page opens up completely. Take out the old batteries and replace them with the new ones - It's a breeze. My husband is disabled and has shaky hands, but he can easily turn these on and off, as well as change the batteries. One of the reasons I bought two 2-packs is for this reason. packs - So there's one in the kitchen, one in the living room, one in the office, one in the bathroom, and one in the office where his oxygen machine is. The top folding handles fit right over a doorknob, allowing you to light an entire hallway or room! They are an excellent purchase, in my opinion.

I believe that if you used two of these lanterns, you would have more than enough light to brighten up the entire room, depending on the exact size of your room (12 x 18 = 180 sq ft) or if it is square. The lights in this room are extremely bright. I hope this information is useful.
The lifespan of LED bulbs will outlast ours. I installed them in the regular house lights, confident that I would not need to change a bulb for at least another twenty years. It's possible that my heirs will have to deal with it now that I'm so old. br>br>For power outages, I have these camping lights, which are fantastic! Highjly suggests it.

I was a little worried that these lanterns were too good to be true, to be honest. I was looking for a non-alcoholic beverage. For our upcoming camping trip, we needed gas lighting, and these were highly recommended. As a result, I conducted my investigation. Even though I'm picky when it comes to reading reviews, I didn't want to set myself up for disappointment. These collapsible lanterns couldn't possibly produce the claimed amount of light, could they? Wrong! These lanterns have a lot of punch! They're extremely bright, and they can easily light up a completely dark room. For this price, you get two lanterns, which seems like a great deal. This purchase has made me extremely happy. They're not as big as a standard gas lantern and aren't as tall. To give you an idea of scale, I've included a photo of a roll of paper towels.
This is a must-have item that can be purchased in pairs for a very low price. The size is small, but the light is excellent. It only takes three AA batteries per piece and provides enough light to read or work by. I like the design and how light it is. I took a picture of one of these in a darkened room at night and compared it to a regular candle to show the difference. You can see how easy it is to see things, etc. , in this photo, which was taken without flash from about 10 feet away.
These two lanterns were purchased with the intention of being used while camping. They're great for illuminating a section of the camp. Two lanterns cast a pleasant glow over a 15x15ft area. Although not particularly bright, I could clearly see what you were doing and was still able to play the beer bong. I left them on for about 18 hours in total, and the batteries are still working. These lights come highly recommended. If it's your only source of light while camping, get more than two.
I ordered these on Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised by the speed with which they arrived. br>These were just delivered to me, not even an hour ago. I opened the first one and removed the tab from the batteries, but nothing happened. Nothing happened after I replaced the batteries with new duracells. Something inside bounced around and rattled quite loudly when I gently shook it. Opening the bottom of the second lantern revealed a loose battery tab laying inside the cap. I tried to open it, but there was no response. Nothing happened after I replaced the batteries with new ones. I tried the gentle shake method, but there was no sound or noise, and it simply did not work. I'm sure there's a contact switch inside that activates when you pull the lantern up from the base, but there's no way to find it without dismantling the whole thing, so I'm just going to throw these away. We're going camping soon and will need a couple of lights to see in our tents as well as see where the restrooms are in the middle of the night. These, to my delight, came with batteries so that I could test them out. br>br>Recently, my family and I went on a beach vacation, and I usually grill while we're there. I decided to put one of these to the test, and it turned out to be extremely bright and useful for my purposes. We had some fantastic steaks, thanks in large part to being able to see while cooking in the pitch darkness. br>br>They've held up well so far, but there's one thing that I'm not happy with. These claimed to be waterproof/resistant, but after seeing them, I can tell you that this is not the case - There are no gaskets to keep water out, so if that's what you're looking for, keep looking. br>br>11/18/18 Update: br>We used these while camping and found them to be extremely useful. They were simple to use and provided excellent lighting for the inside of the tent (the perfect amount of light, in fact!). ), and they came in handy when we needed to go to the bathroom late at night. These lights are still one of my favorites.

I was blown away by how bright it was, as well as the fact that it came with its own set of batteries. For the price, this is a fantastic item that will come in handy in the event of a power outage. One will be left in the automobile.
