We have one from Costco that we bought a long time ago. We adore it, and despite the fact that it requires a large number of D batteries, we haven't had to replace them in years. br>br>Given the recent threat of a hurricane, I wanted to see if I could find a few more. When I was looking, I came across these on Amazon and ordered one in aqua, intending to use it not only at home but also while camping. br>br>It has three levels of brightness and is extremely bright. We also bought four of the small versions and one of the large ones. br>br>The handle had a clip, so you could open it and then close it if you wanted to wrap it around a pole/branch, etc. br>br> They're all fantastic. br>br>Price is reasonable. Lanterns of exceptional quality.

We have a few of these lanterns because we live in Florida, where hurricanes are common. It isn't particularly heavy, but with the batteries inside, it is noticeably heavier. The best feature is the charger (USB port), which the kids love because it allows them to charge their phones! The brightness is adequate, with three levels of brightness that are suitable for various areas of the house.

This lantern is something I'm glad I bought. Although I mostly got it for emergencies, it's been useful for light when fixing plumbing issues and dealing with things outside in the dark. I haven't had to use it for device charging yet, but that is one of the reasons I chose it over other lanterns. It's great that there are three brightness levels to choose from. It's also stylish, and in the event of a power outage, I plan to get a few more in different colors for different rooms. Because of the light and phone charger capabilities, I'm thinking about getting this for a few of my girlfriends who go on solo road trips.

This lamp is well-made and appears to perform as advertised. There are three brightness levels, the brightest of which will illuminate a large room. It can also be used to charge a mobile device. My phone was at 79% and it was recharged in 1 hr. According to online discussions, it takes 15 watt hours to charge a typical cellphone. This lamp requires 6 D batteries, which gives you about 200 watt hours, so I believe it can provide serious illumination while also charging the phone. I'll have to test it out more to be sure, but it's a great thing to have in an emergency. And it's true that changing the batteries is inconvenient. They didn't make it easy to reassemble and close the bottom piece. They'll have to redesign that part, but with patience and practice, they'll be able to get it to work. Don't make it too difficult for yourself.

We just got this lantern today and we're already crazy about it! I saw this the other day at Costco and decided to see what Amazon had to offer; It cost $2 more and had 650 lumens. We have rabbits and chickens, so this is ideal for seeing what's going on in the barn at night. We put it to the test and were blown away by how bright it is. Despite the (6) D size batteries it uses, it's a simple, yet durable design that's fairly lightweight. We like the USB port as an added bonus, so we'll be ordering a few more for the house in case of power outages. br>12/27/20 Update: We've been using this sturdy lantern every day for the past month, and it's well worth the money! We like that it has three light settings, the brightest of which is almost blindingly bright, but it certainly brightens up the room. We'll buy more for ourselves and as gifts in the future.

Before making a purchase, I read a lot of the reviews. I was well aware of what I was getting myself into. Once the batteries are installed, it isn't difficult to replace the bottom, but you must match up the small slot in the middle. The lantern has three brightness levels and is extremely powerful once you've done that. This purchase has made me extremely happy.

It has three brightness settings and the handle detaches so you can hang it from a branch if you're going camping. It blinded us when we first turned it on lol. A nice feature is the USB port, which allows you to charge your phone during a power outage or while camping.

As a result, I bought them one for Christmas. It can light up an entire room and charge anything with a USB cord; it does, however, require 6 or so D batteries, which do not need to be replaced frequently. I haven't replaced mine yet, but I do take them out when I'm not using them. This is the most amazing lantern I've ever seen, and it belongs in every home. Don't put it off! Buy two now, one for each room, and you'll have everything you need when the power goes out. It'll appear as if they're not switched on.
