Questions & Answers

The Coleman Northstar 2000B fits the case, but will it fit the Northstar 2000B?

In response to the previous answer, I purchased this case as well as a Coleman Northstar Dual Fuel Lantern Model #008456-M My new clothes fit perfectly and I am quite happy with them. I would like to thank the previous poster for his kind words.

One of these sounds like something I would like to order Would you be able to tell me what color it will Thank you. ?

my copy was black, but they do state that colors may vary, so it is safe to assume that anything would work

What are the requirements for installing it on a Coleman Northstar lantern?

It could technically be done, but you would have to pull off the plastic base in order to make it fit, and it wouldn't be a

How does it work with the Coleman 257A liquid fuel and two mantles Approximately 13" tall x 8" wide is the lantern's rough size. 5 inches wide?

You will need to measure the bottom of the tank (base). In the base of this case there is a recessed area 6" in diameter where my lanterns fit. Similarly, on the top of the case, you can see that it has something like a nipple that's meant to allow my retaining nut to slide into when folded. two features hold the lantern steady while in transit, so if your base is too big or small, you need to look for another lantern. However, if the globe and shield are too big or small, they will not dimensions of the inside are 7 inches by 7 inches. The size of the drawing is 5" by 7". Thanks for reading. Hope this is helpful.

A great case! The pictures show a fixed bottom that fell out
5/5

A strong 5 Star rating for protection and a 3 Star rating for ease of use, and a 5 Star rating for price
I think it's about time for another product review from me. With the same hard snap bottom as my other lantern case, this case is very similar to my previous one. Yes, those tabs at the bottom of the lantern are quite difficult to snap into place. Furthermore, if you don't get it shut all the way you will break and lose your lantern. There have also been cases where the snaps at the bottom have been missing in the past. Yes, plastic is liable to Fortunately, this plastic is very tough, so it should last a long time. Here is what you can do Keeping you from writing a one-star review due to the bottom falling out is as simple as a quick fix. For instance, you can see in my pictures that I have taken a 60" piece of 3/16" line from Home Depot and made a restraining cord to hold the bottom in place just in case a tab should fall out. The strap would have been a good idea, but I wanted something that would also fit easily over my head and be easy to put on. Two loops are tied in the cord. One for the nub at the top and another for the half hitch knot attached to the end of the cord. Also, please remember As a result of this review, there are no discounts for me. I'm not talking about vines or vine-related stuff. Shipping was free for me because I am a Prime member, but I also paid to be a Prime member.

My Coleman 220J and 220K both work with this
5/5

Recently, I have been thrashing around in the garage in an attempt to restore some old Coleman camping equipment that my family used when I was a child. Over the past few weeks, I have been repairing Coleman 220 lanterns that were damaged. The first is a 220J and the second Then we have to clean them up, break them down, and rebuild It was nice to see how well cleaned up they were. It looks particularly nice and I didn't want it to get dingy and dirty sitting on a shelf in the On an online retailer's website I found this case and decided to test it out to see if it would fit my particular As far as I can recall, the 220 series has undergone some changes over the years and even though it was indicated in the description, I'm unsure whether it applies to The idea seemed a bit odd to me. Thanks to the case arriving and fitting perfectly, the 220K and 220J do not have to worry about being damaged. It seems like a good idea to get one more so that both lanterns can be protected from dust and dents. It has been a long time since both lanterns worked well, but I now have these cases to protect them and pass them on to my son when he grows up.

That is really a horrible product
3/5

I know that it is only USD 17--but I could know it was a much lower quality product Since it is 20, nobody is expecting it to be high-quality. The products, however, are of really poor quality, even if they are from USD17. Since I felt very guilty when it was delivered to me, I was shocked. Having made the decision myself, I was responsible for the outcomes. Even if I had paid only USD 5, I would have been happy. The carrier makes axietic disorder every time you use a Vintage Coleman pressurized lantern, so you should not consider it if you love Coleman pressurized lanterns. There is no doubt that this is the worst decision of my life. I am pretty sure that this carrying case will work for only a few months, that it would eventually malfunction. Even though this stuff will be stored for over 50 years, I am fully convinced that it cannot be considered a part of a vintage item because it's already a kind of trash, so if it's stored for another 50 years, it may have become a bigger garbage. I will not be responsible for any quality concerns with any of this anxietyic product. I will be killed by psychotic shocks as soon as I get.

That is a disappointing product
3/5

I am shocked by you all giving it such high ratings! the case has a fundamental flaw that is apparent after less than 5 seconds of looking at it. Although the base is good and fits tight and stays in place, the main problem is the cover, which is thin and flimsy, and much worse, the locking mechanism is so thin and flimsy that it will break with no effort and the whole case will be rendered mean - how can anyone put a hundred dollar lantern in such a fragile case and pick it up without fear that the lock part could be stripped off or fall apart! You have to take care of this cover/case or you will have another thing to throw away! In the case of this case actually being the product of Coleman, it is a total letdown! The expectations I had for this were much higher!.

This is garbage
3/5

It is pretty hard plastic, and so it is very sturdy and durable. I have no idea how to secure your lamp from falling out with this lock. You might want your light to fall out because of the poorly designed locking system of this case.
It is a shame that Coleman is coming out with another badly designed product. In the past few years, I have lost trust.

A modified lantern will fit well, but it needs a little The original box for the Coleman lantern got ruined by water, so I bought this to transport it
3/5

Despite the large size of the lantern, the base fits perfectly. It is difficult to get into the cover because of the tabs at the bottom. The inner piece of the cover has to be pushed into place so the cover needs to be pushed. I had no confidence that the lantern and base would not fall out if handled lightly, especially if carried in a way that was rough. Here are some methods I used to resolve this issue Because the strap is flat, it will firmly hold the case in place. If you combine this with a Coleman lantern cover, you can protect and transport the lantern easily.

A great carrying case for light duty stuff
5/5

My Coleman 220H lantern fits perfectly in this carrying case it has a small area at the bottom for storage of extra mantles, small parts, etc. This is a light duty carrying case made of plastic, so it does not protect the lantern from damage. In terms of design and construction, it's very similar to the lantern case that came with the Coleman propane lantern I bought back in the 1990s (which is still in great shape), so I expect this case will serve me just as well for many years to come. The following information was updated on 2/21/20 The second case that I bought fits perfectly on my 220J lantern as well. The bottom of the case is prone to accidentally sliding off, which is understood by some reviewers. Despite that, both of my cases have latches that click so hard into place (I push them in until they click firmly into place), that I can't imagine them coming undone by accident. I really enjoy the simple solution given in the review by William I if you have a problem with the bottom falling out. The Dube.
