Will this work as a replacement for a 220 volt glass globe in a gas lantern?

Coleman claims that this globe can be used to replace a variety of globes, including the 288 Pyrex globe that came with my first Coleman propane lantern from the 1990s. This junk from China is tall enough, but the diameter is significantly smaller, resulting in a poor and unstable connection. Because it won't cinch down properly, the top slides around, and half of the vents are visible through the glass. The lantern burns, but due to the shoddy fit, it's just a matter of time before it breaks. br>br>Unfortunately, this was my only option for a replacement, and when it breaks, I'll be on the lookout for a new lantern - If at all possible, a product made in the United States. I considered simply purchasing a new lantern, but all of Coleman's propane products are made in China as well.
The application guide is incorrect, and claiming that it works on my 288A700 lantern is a stretch. The diameter is incorrect. When compared to the original Coleman part, the glass is incredibly thin, and I doubt it will last even one camping trip; the glass will most likely shatter before you arrive at your campsite.
This worked perfectly with my Coleman lantern model 5152. Fits exactly like the replacement I purchased 15 years ago at Walmart.
I have a propane lantern with the model number 2000003050. This model is compatible, according to the product description. The diameter, on the other hand, is insufficient. It just about fits, but not quite right. When it says made in China, you can expect it to be as cheap and minimal as possible. Coleman should be ashamed of themselves for putting their name on this.
While I can't say whether previous generations of Coleman globes were made of Pyrex or not, the one I had (made in Germany) was far more solid and thicker than this one. Despite the fact that it is clearly licensed by Coleman, it feels flimsier and has a thinner glass than before. Fits fine, but keep in mind that you'll need to check and tighten your lantern mount every now and then (mine came loose after three uses). Again, I attribute this to the thinner glass. Given that the cost of this globe was comparable to the cost of German-made glass a few years ago, I'd say it's not "Value for money. ".
The glass is a fraction of an inch thinner than the original. Calipers were used to measure 5mm. While this may not appear to be a significant difference, it is when both are held. So far, the replacement has held up well, so we'll see if the thinner glass makes a difference over time. This is still one I would recommend.
It's a that I'm using for my lantern. Arrived quickly and in excellent condition. My lantern is a Coleman portable propane lantern, model 5155A/5158. The globe was a perfect fit. Although it does not fit as snugly against the lower base outer edge as another lantern of the same model, it does cover the lower air holes. It appears that everything is going to be fine. Near the bottom of the globe, the words Coleman are etched in glass, along with the numbers 288C043 and 3617.
The item arrived on time and in perfect condition, and it perfectly fit my Coleman Dual Fuel model 285a lantern. The ONLY issue is that the description refers to a completely different item. This is a "Mustad 0549-" product, according to the description and product name. 0012 Classic Dough Bait Treble Hook (Set of 2), Bronze, Size 4 Fishing Hook" br>br>It goes without saying that this is not a fish hook. It's a Coleman gas lantern glass globe.
