Because of the following, one star has been taken away: 1) I'd like to apologize for what I've done. I thought I was ordering the rechargeable taglit, but I accidentally ordered the removable battery taglit (which uses a 2032 button battery), and 2) the removable battery version is less durable than the rechargeable battery version. Regardless, the yellow one is unbelievably bright, to the point of being blinding (and it glows green rather than yellow - (See image. ) I'll keep it in case we get caught in the dark while riding our bikes, and I'll be able to attach it to the back of my hydration/backpack. They must be on another planet if they don't notice me with the yellow taglit on. I also have a yellow taglit that can be recharged. It's not quite as bright as the one with a removable battery, but it's still brighter than the red one. In addition, the removable battery version has four distinct lights, whereas the rechargeable version only has one solid light. The rechargeable version has a thicker skin. That could explain why the light output isn't as strong as the version with a removable battery. br>br>The red rechargeable taglit will illuminate you in the dark without blinding you. When the other light on the charger is turned off, I wanted a second taglit. Because my cat is afraid of other people and I have to walk him before dawn when sane people aren't out walking, I use this light to attach it to his harness. However, it makes him visible to passing cars and allows me to see where he is in relation to my legs, ensuring that I do not trip over him. I tried the yellow one this morning, and it was so bright that he freaked out because he thought a car was coming at him. I tried securing it to the back of his harness, but it wouldn't stay in place. a happy, happy cat, but a blinded, blinded mother! As a result, I hung it behind me. br>br>Anyway, one of the advantages of these small taglits is that the magnet is quite strong, and even though my cat's harness/walking jacket is thick, the taglit adheres well and has never fallen off, even when he rolls on the pavement on top of it. So, if you're attaching it to a shirt sleeve for running, you can rest assured that it'll still be there when you return through the door. br>br>Please pay more attention than I did to the difference between replaceable and rechargeable batteries. I was under the impression that the different color would come at a higher price. Either I need to stop buying things on Amazon with my phone and turn on my computer, or I need to put on my most powerful reading glasses. br>br>I included two photos to demonstrate how the red and yellow taglits differ in brightness. It's worth noting that the yellow (green light) illuminated the baseboard more than the red light. Hopefully, this information will assist you in making the best decision possible. The flashing option lasts between one and two seconds per blink and will undoubtedly attract more attention from motorists than the steady option. br>br>In the end, I'll give the rechargeable taglit I bought the same rating as the removable battery version, but it'll get 5 stars instead of 4 because it's so much more durable. The removable battery version is said to last 70 hours per charge, while the rechargeable version lasts 7 hours. I can confirm the latter, but determining the battery life of the removeable would be difficult.
On January 20th, I received my product and was immediately enamored with it. It's bright enough to keep me visible on the road (when I'm running), and it's small enough to clip anywhere. However, it has stopped working after only two months of use. It doesn't have any power left in it. It only lasted 5 minutes after being charged all day yesterday. br>I was extremely dissatisfied. There is also no way to contact the seller for a replacement, as far as I can tell. That was a hefty price to pay for that lesson.
The first one I received was returned/replaced because the on/off button wiggled or was never in the same place. The replacement had the same problem, so while the light is nice, trying to turn it on or off will be frustrating because you'll never get it right the first, second, or fifth time.
First and foremost, I believe that these units are worthwhile if you walk, ride, run, or otherwise exercise late at night or early in the morning. I bought it because it is rechargeable, which is great for the environment. The magnet on this unit, however, is not as powerful as the one on the battery unit. It's much brighter than the battery version, so I wish it was.
It performed admirably until I needed to recharge it. I tossed it because it no longer holds a charge.
The fact that it can be charged via USB is appealing to me. This can be attached to my reflective safety belt, doubling my safety in low-light situations.
Ideal for late-night strolls.
They are easily lost due to the magnet's ineffectiveness.
