For providing false information, I gave it a one-star rating. These do not last "12" hours, and the duration is only 6 hours, as stated on the back of the packaging. Because they only last half as long as they claim, they're only worth half the money.
The life span is definitely deceiving. These don't look like they belong in a child's toy box. A 38" length of fairly light-weight bamboo is included with each stick. elastic cord with a heavy duty - This is a nice addition. Yes, as many others have pointed out - you'll notice that. A 6-hour lifespan is stated on the package. I'll check back in after 6 and 12 hours have passed. With a few good shakes, the internal capsule easily breaks and full brightness is achieved in a few moments. The brightness was sufficient to read the fine print on the back of a Tums bottle at a distance of 12 inches. My fire extinguisher could only be seen from 36 inches away. My eyes had adjusted after a few minutes in a pitch black garage, and the glow sticks illuminated my immediate area well enough to prevent a stubbed toe, but not much more. Overall, I'd recommend these for a basic preparedness bag, first aid kit, tool box, and so on. If there is still a reasonable light-weight option, I'll revise to a five star review. I bought Swiss Safe glow sticks for something I'm going to try in the next few weeks, not for their intended purpose. But first, a word or two about the seller, Erick, the founder of Swiss Safe Products. Erick sent me an email expressing his sincere gratitude for my purchase, my complete satisfaction with the product, and his commitment to resolve any issues that may arise. This level of customer service is greatly appreciated, and I am confident that he will keep his word. br>The glow sticks are well-made and designed. They can stand on their own and have a hole and hook on the back if you want to hang them. My purchase was made with the intention of using them for night fishing with a submerged light. A monofilament line will be attached to the hole, along with a small lead weight, to keep it submerged. In comparison to others who use cumbersome 12V batteries to power a submersible lamp, this idea keeps things simple. I don't think there will be any problems because these glow sticks are waterproof and fully submersible, and the 12-hour duration is more than enough. In addition, fish have been known to be attracted to the green glow. After considering everything, I've decided that this glow stick is the best option for my upcoming adventure.
They're still glowing after three days! I bought them on Saturday to make these fun snow aliens, and they're still glowing four days later! They're a non-profit organization. Moreover, it is toxic. They'd also come in handy in the event of a power outage.

When I bought cheap chemlights, I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. 😉.
We bought these for Halloween because we're supposed to keep our distance socially and we wanted other people to see/avoid us. I started one to see how bright it was, how long it lasted as a "nightlight," and how well it worked with my 4-year-old daughter. I was using the Force to make it glow when I was a year old! The only problem is that my children are now requesting that I turn off the lights more frequently. I should have purchased more than six of them!.
