It turns on while charging, but I wouldn't recommend walking around with it plugged into the wall if you're wearing it around your neck. This is merely an idea.

It must be charged- Unscrew the top section (where it connects to the cord that hangs around your neck) to access the charging port. It's a little difficult to tell when it's fully charged, but at least 10 minutes should suffice.

On the plus side, the runtime was only one minute. It took 5 hours longer than the specifications stated. It's simple to charge, the button works well, and there's an S-shaped connector. There was a binder clip included in the package. It appears to have a good water seal. It's dust-proof, but I don't think it's IPX-rated. br>br>The downside is that it isn't particularly bright. The output of most 12-hour chemical light sticks is a tad higher. Furthermore, the majority of the light exits through the bottom of the optic wand, which I assumed would be similar to their previous generation light stick (the non-optical version). This new generation, however, is not rechargeable. Some kind of hollow, soft, flexible clear plastic that looks like a hot glue stick. The non-violent nature of the nonviolent nature of the nonviolent nature of The hollow design traps the light until it emerges from the end of the stick, similar to a fiber optic. The sides receive only a small amount of light. The older generation had a much more all-encompassing view of the world. light pattern with a specific direction The wand should be made of white polymer, have a slightly larger diameter, and be hollow, just like most other lanterns/lights from reputable manufacturers. br>br>Perhaps an even bigger oversight is the lack of a white light option, instead opting for red, green, or blue. If you're only going to make one version, make it white light capable and do away with the colors. Are you targeting this product at outdoor enthusiasts or kindergarteners, for example?.
When one finally manages to turn it on, the light is perfectly fine! br>Because the button is so small, it's difficult to "feel" where it is in a semi-dark environment such as a car or a camping tent. br>This is a design flaw that needs to be addressed if the product is to receive a higher rating. br>However, I am a fan of the USB-connected devices. C its ability to be recharged.
We've never been caving before. If we're not next to each other for any reason, I like being able to tell where my daughter is right away. This light is waterproof and has withstood the test of time in caves and with a rambunctious little girl. I haven't recharged it yet, so I can't vouch for the manufacturer's claim, but it's still going strong after 10 hours of use. The only minor flaw is that the color scheme is deceiving. It alternates between three different hues. I was under the impression that there were more and that you could choose from them, but regardless, it performs admirably in a harsh environment.
This is a great gift for kids, and it's rechargeable, so if it runs out, you can easily recharge it. It's not particularly bright for illumination, except for the green color, but it's bright enough to cover basic room illumination. br>The children enjoy watching the lights change as they cycle, and you can program it to only turn on one light. For the price, it's a great deal.
I have not yet put it through any stress tests. It does exactly what it says. Because these photos were taken on my phone, they were set to "auto-focus. " They may appear brighter than they are because of the "exposure" setting, but they are very similar to Cyalume brand chem- lights in terms of illumination (the "stick" is made of bendable material) fiber-rich optic- As a result, you'll need to place it against something to reflect the light; otherwise, the light will travel almost straight through the fiber optics and out the bottom). The packaging specifies an age of eight. I set it for 5 hours and timed it overnight, then woke up the next morning to find it had lasted around 8 hours. The Cyalume brand chemistries last about 5 hours. The lights ACTUALLY last for (they say 12 hours, but they only stay bright for 8ish hours, and the remaining 4 hours are very dim). It takes about 1 minute to recharge. Like it says on the box, it will take 25 hours to complete. br>At the time of this review, I haven't tested how "tough" or truly waterproof it is. I mean, I can put it in the sink and it still works, so that's something. It appears to be well-constructed enough to be thrown against a wall and still function. But who knows because I haven't really put it through its paces. Overall, it's a good deal at $12.
I've used these before for my friend group; we'll all wear them at night to make it easier to find each other. The clip has an indent at the end that makes it difficult to unhook from anything (but particularly belt loops), especially for those without steely fingernails. Nonetheless, I'll continue to use these for my friends to clip on as an anti-loss device. your- drunk- Beacon of friendship.
Perfect for a stroll around the neighborhood in the evening. The charger is simple to use and the device is very light. It has a lot of versatility. It doesn't appear to be brittle in any way. I wore it on my back while walking and it made no noise, and I like the color changing options. I haven't had to charge it very often, so it's still in good condition. lasts. I wish it came with a clip, like a badge holder, but it's still a great product. I've also purchased other light sticks that are powered by button batteries. They don't last as long as these lights. . . thanks again, Nite Ize, for another great product!.
I've never used it because it's so dim that it's practically useless.
