Questions & Answers
I'd assume so... it'll use the filter regardless unless you remove it, but for clean water, I'd simply remove it.
I'm not sure what it's called, but the instructions say it's washable.
I haven't noticed any leaking, but I don't keep water in it. I'd only use it in an emergency if I were in a situation where I didn't have access to water.
The filter has a 200-hour life span. 300 fill-ups are possible, but keeping it wet in between uses is crucial. Keep the water in the can full. It'll need to be replaced once it dries out after the first use. It's great if you keep it wet.

On our first outing with it, we camped on a remote beach in Northern California, and it performed flawlessly. Thanks to the charcoal filter, I was able to refill it with creek water, which tasted great. br>br>It's also great for storing water in case of an emergency. br>br>Excellent quality, durable construction, and attractive design I anticipate a long lifespan. One caveat: when traveling, make sure the openings are tightly sealed, especially if the container is pressurized, or the contents will dribble. Highly recommended. br>br>.
When you're in need, it's a great gift to have.
Excellent craftsmanship. In your emergency kit, this is a must-have item.
