A bit of room left over after 3 cups
The stainless steel drinking cup I purchased was designed to fit around the base of my canteen so that together, they fit inside a pouch that would fit inside my pistol belt. Considering today's politically charged environment, where the cup was made might be a concern. Unless your question has been answered by the time you purchase, don't buy this until your question has been answered, otherwise go ahead and buy this You will never find out about a secret if you keep it to yourself. I didn't get a mark on mine.
It is impossible for me to tell what it will be like since I do not have a Nalgene 32 ounce bottle. Under the name G, it was sold. There is no doubt about it from the word TYPE. Nowhere does it say where it is made, so it was made in China. Whenever I deal with Rothco, I'm hit or miss. Sorry to hear that. It is a Chinese product. A spot weld attaches the wire handles to the cup at a very cheap price. The material in this photo is NOT steel. It isn't attracted by a magnet, as I found out when I tested it. As opposed to steel, the magnet slides down the side of the cup while with iron the magnet grabs Lips cannot be put up to the lips because the lips are not rolled nor are they sharp. That is a very dangerous thing to do. It only takes a small bump to cause you to bleed profusely. As far as I have experienced, I haven't encountered the coating issue mentioned by others, so aside from being a slightly bigger copy of the original, it hasn't been a major issue for me. If you expect it to fit inside pouches, stoves, and bottles that were made to fit inside the original, then it's unusually large. There are no problems when boiling water, or when cooking with the cup. There is no need to be concerned about the quality of this item since it is not a genuine USGI canteen cup.
