There's a huge problem with the cover's oversized top half. A gap of approximately an inch occurs between the body of the canteen and its cover when it is snapped shut. The canteen, particularly when filled, tilts forward and pulls tightly over the Alice clips as a result. The pressure puts pressure on the seams in the fabric that hold the clips, and I'm worried the threads will begin to unravel over time. I only had to sew up several inches to address the slack in the cover, and it worked perfectly. Although I tried crossing the straps to the opposite grommets, there is still a noticeable amount of extra fabric hanging out at the edges. Rothco is familiar to me, so I kind of expected this, however I would consider replacing it with a slightly better quality if you don't want to do any.

This is the second set of these canteens with cover and cup I've received from you. A canteen set this complete costs under 12 bucks, so it's five stars from me for this price. The reviews tell me two things that I do not understand. I invite you to first think about why people keep complaining that the setup isn't military-standard The product doesn't mention how it is a mil-spec product in the description or on its own Check it out! As a military-grade product, it should boast of its military-grade features I would not buy it for under 12 dollars if it had those specs. Secondly, the cup has a peculiar smell that I keep reading about. I was not happy with the first one either, and neither one of these has any odors at all, especially a bad odor. Aside from being made in China, my one complaint is that it is a Chinese product. In addition to that, it makes an ideal canteen for camping, backpacking, and daily Exactly what is described in the description is what you get.
Used the cup to boil water and disinfect the canteen, and it worked like a charm! It only left a stain on the inside of the cup due to the high water level. The items seem to be in working order even though I am not sure if this is normal. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I have no problem with the canteen and cup. The reason for the poor rating is its COVER. (Both the canteen and cup work purchased this for my teen who needs it for her CAPA The back side of one of the snaps tore through the cover less than a week after being used, and the other snap will soon do the same thing (fraying has already started). I am confused by the fact that this is supposedly military grade (think tough!? and, although the top half of the snap IS reinforced, the bottom half is not (see I will need to get another cover for this book due to poor design. The bottom line is that the canteen is good but the cover is.

My holster looks like it's been sewn, by me, of course! It is expected to be "uniform" from one side to another I like the idea of it, but it just looks like some sweat was put into it There are lots of places to shop. That makes sense. Furthermore, the canteen does not stand erect on a flat surface (like a tabletop) when placed standing up on its own because it has a flat bottom. In any case, I am not too disappointed for $8 dollars. The water in the tank is at least usable. It has so far been good.

In any case, I got rid of the Alice clips. I am very pleased with how this works. As a result of the Alice clips cutting into my hip, I had to get rid of them. As a uniform wearer, I encountered the same issue. Those were the times when I would have to deal with it. It's not clear to me at the moment. It keeps track of my water consumption every day, and I use it every day. I did have one snap pull out but other than that it's ok. There are a few snaps on the main cover that need to be tightened, otherwise it's good. My best option is to stick some heavy nylon behind it like the one I had in the air force or to replace it with something more substantial. Edit

About a month and a half after the initial leak, the lid is still leaking. It's still in use, but not as frequently as before.

David Canterbury owned the Pathfinder School, and he also had the exact same kit at the exact same price as the one I currently own. I only bought mine because of the free two-day shipping. I am almost certain the item is from the school. My knowledge of David Canterbury's store, company, and school tells me only the best and most durable gear is offered there. Thus, I know this is a good quality product. It really looks like a standard issue canteen, and the canteen cover is no exception. The only two complaints I have are with the clips and handles on the cups. Clips of the military issue version are being remade for cheap. For the retention pin to slide through, military clips feature a little hole at the bottom. There is a significant amount of tension coiled inside of these clips, so it can be tough to open them up so that you can attach them to your belt or It is best to push the clip in a bit when you open it, and a bit of pressure will be required to close it. I'm sure that tension is nice for keeping the clip from wriggling out of place, but you might want to replace it in a few years with military surplus, since I think that tension won't last as long as Although the handles are a bit short, cooking over a fire with this pot is not a problem with a knife or hatchet. As long as you fashion a longer handle to insert into the little metal cups and you have a fun and practical cooking pot. I think this is one of the best deals in terms of value and price. You won't be disappointed! My grandma and I are looking forward to taking this car for a spin at her house Teaching my dad how to handle a gun and shoot is a big deal to me. It was my grandpa who taught me how to shoot and hunt, now it's my turn to pass that on to his son. If things work out, I may end up making squirrel stew this weekend over a campfire in my cup!.
