Yes. On the beach, it should be perfect. A wedge is used to secure the end that is pounded into the ground.

Ok, I really enjoyed cooking over the fire, and everything about this swivel grill is great except for its ability to withstand the heat from the fire. It worked great for a few times, but eventually the stake began to bend to the point where the dinner rolled completely into the fire, which we had to pound back to "straight" once it had cooled down. I attempted to contact the company, but received no response. All of this being said, it isn't expensive, and it has proven to be effective on several occasions.
For a recent camping trip, I purchased this well-reviewed product. We removed it from the box and set it up, but instead of placing food directly on it, we lined it with tin foil and used it to keep food warm. br>I noticed all of the discoloration and paint peeling after it cooled down after use. br>I assumed it was due to the smoke. I cleaned it up at home. and nope. It almost appears to be rusting. The paint has started to peel. br>It was barely used.
I spent ten days cooking this over an open fire. We planted it in the ground and left it for ten days. In the mornings and evenings, we cooked on. There was never a time when I didn't have a problem.
I asked for a substitution. The second one followed in the footsteps of the first. While scrubbing with a sponge, the black coating on the grill simply peeled off. I didn't want to eat either of them, so I returned them both.
LOVE IT! I've never used a better outdoor over-the-fire cooking system! I've built and purchased numerous tools for cooking over fire, and my brother and I used this system for a 48-hour camping trip and enjoyed every minute of it. I really like how you can rotate it away from the fire and cook one side while keeping the other warm. There's no need to rest the cast iron skillet on the hot coals any longer. The ability to adjust the device's height and angle is useful depending on what you're cooking. I had no problems with this device and plan to use it on future camping trips.
The only drawback is the product's sturdiness, which is a little wobbly. When you tighten the clip, it doesn't hold the grill grate in place tightly enough. Depending on whether you need to move it or not, this is both a disadvantage and an advantage. It acts as a brace against the post, allowing it to be easily shifted and repositioned. Unfortunately, if it is accidentally bumped or jostled while turning food, it can easily fall. Others have mentioned the paint peeling, but I have yet to notice this. But even if the paint does peel, it won't be a major issue. I don't believe there is any kind of fire-resistant coating, and this can be easily remedied by using a grill mat. Overall, it's not bad, but it's not great; I'll keep using it and recommending it to others, but keep in mind that it's a little sloppy.
One thing to note is that the post's fin is quite large, so if you're looking for something to drive into the ground, then remove and relocate, this may be difficult unless you're working in sand or something similar.
Under direct heat, the paint will immediately peel off. Before cooking directly on this grill, I would recommend getting it very hot to burn off all of the paint. It has a solid feel to it. I strongly advise you to turn the grill over so that the lip is facing up. preventing hot dogs and other foods from rolling off the table!.
