If both ends are open, it was most likely made to be used as a bellow to blow air at the wood/coals to make them burn hotter. Blow into the larger end with the smaller end at the coals/wood.

I put this grill to its first test not long after it arrived. I started a small fire with fruit tree trimmings and grilled some chicken over it. The grill was much more durable than I had anticipated, and it performed admirably. We have a small motorhome, so there isn't much room to store things. This grill is the ideal blend of portability and performance. It was simple to clean and store when not in use. I like how it fits into the stainless steel case and that it also comes with a durable canvas bag. I would strongly suggest it.
It had a lot of fingerprints and grease on it, the grate was flimsy, and one of the spokes on the grill grate was broken. However, despite the great idea, it was a disappointment.
I'm going to use it in the backyard and for camping. It's easy to store and transport thanks to the included steel case and carry bag, which is exactly what I needed.
It really works. It was just put to use. The grill top can be flimsy at times, but it serves its purpose admirably. It's simple to put together and take apart. It's ideal for dispersed camping or using in your own backyard.
It's light and easy to clean, and I had fun using it for the first time.
It appears to be of good quality for a folding grill based on initial inspection and setup.
It's very simple to use and it works flawlessly; it even comes with a nice storage case. Exactly what I expected. It's a fantastic grill with a fantastic price tag!.
