The size of this unit was ideal for our VW van. We were able to set it up on the panic table and grill kabobs without using charcoal or fire, which was very convenient given the fire dangers in the west. It was also very easy to clean. It comes with a small carrying case. It gets quite hot, to the point where my plastic tablecloth melted. I'm thinking about putting something underneath it. The tablecloth is still fine, but it gets quite hot. To be sure, it took a long time to cook, but we weren't in a rush. Isn't that what camping is all about? br>High-quality materials are used. It's something I'd buy again if the opportunity arose. The only reason I didn't give it five stars for weight was because it couldn't be carried in a backpack. It's ideal for camping in a camper or in a car.

I took it on a short backpacking trip and used it to grill filet mignon (it took up more than half of my backpack). I've also used it to go boating and grilled some hotdogs on the beach. Cleaning is a breeze. On a single can of butane, I made about five meals.
I was worried about the lack of a cover, but I took it camping with me and it cooks 6 kabobs at a time, much faster than a fire pit. We cooked chicken tenderloins and steaks with it at the beach a week later. I'm still on the same canister after about three hours of cooking. Amazing. Cleaning is a breeze. Love it. It's far superior to my charcoal.
