It's about 17 inches in length when fully extended. On Amazon, the measurements are listed in the product description.
The legs flip out to secure when resting on a solid base / the ground, etc. A smaller size would probably work stacked on top of this one. The legs flip outwards to a final stop and fold back underneath for flat storage and return to the bag.

It was inconvenient and took up a lot of room. I removed everything except the top of the propane bottles, which is screwed on. I wanted to keep things simple, so I decided to cook over the campfire, which I do every morning. I tried cooking over coals but decided that a grate would be more efficient. This grille is fantastic! I try to keep the KISS principle in mind when I go camping. It's all about keeping it simple, stupid. There are too many pots for various purposes, which takes up too much space and is also difficult to clean. On Amazon, I purchased a 9" Wok. Soup should be heated, vegetables should be fried, sausage, bacon should be fried, and eggs should be fried. That's fantastic! I've also used aluminum foil on the grate, purchased a personal size frozen pizza, flipped the wok over the pizza on the grate, and enjoyed a baked pizza! Here, the options are endless! I'm looking forward to getting out in the woods again in the spring!.
I was camping for the first time with my wife and son, and I wasn't sure if the campsite would have a fire ring or grate, so I bought this. Everything had to be just right for them, and I wanted it to be. I was considering redcamp's version but decided to go with this one because it was less expensive. When it arrived, I noticed a redcamp label stuck on top of another redcamp label. Funny. Anyway, the campsite didn't have a fire ring or grill, so after the fire had been burning for about an hour, we pushed hot coals under it and set this bad boy in front of it. After that, my wife used one of those disposable foil deep turkey pans with a 4-pound turkey. There's about 5 pounds of food in there (Swiss steak, for those of you who don't know). I love gear, which is one of the reasons I like to camp. This was the most exciting part of the trip! I simply wiped the soot away with a rag to clean it up. It obviously discolored in this situation, as any stainless steel would. It appears to me to be more appealing. I don't have one, but I think this would work well with that little solo stove, or if you have a stove with a separate burner from the fuel, you could put the burner under it and easily use a cast iron pan, though I haven't tried it because I don't have either cast iron or a stove. If you're looking for a chrome-plated grill that's less expensive, this is the one to get. Unless you're concerned about your weight, that is.
I bought the larger of the two sizes (which was still fairly compact), and it was very easy to put the legs on, and it was very sturdy even on uneven ground/rocks. I used it to heat the water in the kettle while camping last weekend; to raise the pie cookers to prevent the food inside from being charred by the fire; and to reheat some precooked food we brought inside a tin. . . and overall, I was pleased! br>The carrying bag that comes with it is 'okay,' the handles are designed for hand grip, but a shoulder strap would be more useful. Because the grate was filthy and light in color, I didn't even use it when packing up.
I haven't used it yet because it was a Christmas present, but it appears to be sturdy and well made at first glance. (I opened it because a previous item I ordered from another seller arrived in an open box with no carrying bag. ) I wanted to make sure that the carrying bag mentioned in the description was actually included. ) The tote bag appears to be of good quality. I didn't want it to be overly rugged, but I did want it to keep soot, grease, and grime off the rest of our camping gear. The bag will certainly suffice for that purpose, and the grill itself is easy to set up and take down, and appears to be durable enough for its intended use.
It is of excellent quality, and I appreciate the fact that it comes with a bag. It has yet to be used.
I was able to boil water on it without any problems.
This small grill is exactly as described and fits snugly into my backpack.
You can use this or a tripod cooking device when cooking over a campfire; both are effective, but this option is extremely compact and simple to use.
