Questions & Answers

Is it possible to nest a can of fuel and a burner in a cup that has the cap on it?

It does fit sideways, but the pot support that comes with the MiniMo makes it look like it is over the burner and the lid will not close. As it is, I will put it in a bag as soon as possible. However, a bit of foresight on the designer's part would have taken this from good to great

If I push the igniter button but there is no spark, what do I do? Exactly one minute after pulling it out of the box, assembling it, then pressing the igniter button, no spark came out. ?

must ensure that there is a space between the spark wire and the spark plug You will need a The wire will not catch fire if it is touched by a metal surface, thus no ignition will occur. Bend the wire carefully away from the other so that enough space is left Here are some more steps Please ensure that the button housing is not slipping out of its place. Relocation of the housing isn't complicated - just place it back in position In order for the button to function properly, it should be able to be pushed in completely Creating a spark can make a difference.

What is the reason for the different prices for the different colors?

Thanks for your question, Maree. Since they are sold by different sellers on Amazon, the prices are different. The following information is intended to be

What are the differences between it and the Flash system? Does it support the additional pot?

When I bought mine in February of 2021, it came with a pot support. However, I do not think it is required since the pot is large and deep enough for just one or two people to cook in.

Quality of the product is poor The backpacking experience is not as good as backpacking in the real world
3/5

JetBoil's marketing/advertising budget is far greater than it is invested in good quality outdoor products, based on my experience. Although I have been using isobutane stoves for a while and wanted to give this one a try because it looked very efficient and had some gadgets that could help me with outdoor cooking comfort, but this product was NOT designed for outdoor use I didn't like the quality. 1.
1. The container began to crack after a few seconds, and now it has a large hole We have a mess on our hands with the ignition system. You should not rely on it. The program stopped working after a couple of uses. In addition, plastic (or similar) is used for wrapping the ignition system, and this material melts completely. This product should only be used for boiling water at a low temperature and with some care. This is not recommended for backpacking because if you only have tea or hot water in the woods then you can't survive. There is no comparison between simpler and cheaper stoves. A very low return on investment is provided by this product.

The device works quite well, but packing for transportation and storage needs to be particularly careful
5/5

There is a weak point in the burner flame ignition system, which relies on a tiny wire where the spark arcs to light the gas on fire. If bent out of its place, this wire can fail to ignite the gas. In the base of the burner is this component. Furthermore, it is extremely easy for a mistake to occur. The sparks will not connect with the gas since it is bent out of place, so there will be no The lighter I recently bought on Amazon failed after about 3 uses. I've read lots of reviews on REI as well. The wire element of this stove is very susceptible to bending if not packed tightly into its cook cup during kayak camping trips where the gear is stuffed into holes inside dry bags and there are lots of chances to dent it if not well packed. This is an issue when storing a backpack or if you're packing up a kitchen mess kit for your car. When cooking, it's very important not to hit the stove with a pot in order to protect the ignition wire, then it will survive to work. Be sure to pack the stove inside the cup so the ignition wire is protected. Don't forget to bring along a tiny lighter for backup in case something goes wrong. If you use waterproof matches, though, you'll have a nice little flame for quite a while until the waterproof matches burn Considering that the torches are not designed to go out! The plastic protector lid for the base of the cooking pot is another easy thing to mess up as it is part of the JetBoil cooking pot that I bought for my partner for soups. Whenever you leave the lid on before you place the cooking pot on the burner, the lid serves as your food plate until you remember to take it off first! The donut I made now looks like something with a purpose This protection cover still retains a very good shape and does a very good job of protecting Water boils on this tiny stove super fast, and the low temperature control works as described. It will be interesting to see how long it takes me to mess that ignition wire up!.

Was a great read The perfect system is to add a metal cup

The Micromo model may be worth considering as well. I was very satisfied with this product and the customer support the only reason I had to contact support was because I had not used anything like it did a great job of following up with me and called me back right away. The best is yet to come. Quite fast on heating water! I did have some trouble getting mine to ignite, but if you experience the same problem (and this seems to be rather common with products of this type), try using a needle nose pliers to bend the ignition wire down further into the This solved my problem in no time, and now the spark works perfectly every single time.

I also liked how this model allows an easier time eating from it with a utensil, since it is not as deep and a little larger. It just barely pushes the fuel canister into the chamber, however, due to this. In that scenario, the entire unit would be self-contained and can be It could be the best of both worlds if they made it just a little bit taller so this was possible. The way things are right now, when it's all packed up, there seems to be some empty space inside, but definitely not enough to do anything useful with it. Another model, the Micromo , has everything inside, but it is too tall to eat from and does not appear to fit all of our food. During the first time I used my Minimo, I didn't also bring my Stanley metal cup set because I wanted to replace it with this one. the Minimo has a coozie, so I was disappointed that I did not have a way to heat water at the same time I had a fire, thereby conserving fuel when I had to build a fire, or to have two different ways to heat water. I could, for instance, let my friend cook his oatmeal in his cooker and brew his coffee in a metal cup by the fire. My Minimo required me to heat water to cook the oatmeal, then I had to put it in the plastic cup it came with, and then I had to heat more water to make Yet somehow, I'm drinking coffee out of this container that is so wide and has so much surface area that my coffee gets cold relatively quickly. Then the plastic thing is more difficult to clean than the metal thing. Clearly, that's not an ideal situation. In addition, I would have to find room to pack a cup into my pack if I added one to it. As soon as I searched, and thanks to REI, since all this gear is out for demos, I found the perfect sized titanium cup that will fit right inside 10 oz. of this product contains the following In fact, the cup that comes with the Snow Peak Titanium Mini Solo Cookset fits perfectly! Since I have not yet found the 10-ounce sizes, I've found this to be expensive. A stand-alone cup that complements the Minimo perfectly without adding bulk or weight! It's super lightweight, and adds no additional volume or weight to your bag. So the only reason for a 4 star rating is that if they could just add a quarter inch to the height of this thing, the fuel canister and the 10 oz can both fit inside it. If we made a cup similar to the Snow Peak, it would be compact and easy to use. Perhaps the answer is to find a metal cup that fits into our current Micromo model without having to deal with it being taller in order to use it. When ultralight packers are searching for everything that can be used in their packs, they need to exploit every little bit of space and weight.
