Questions & Answers

It is safe to use it in a horizontal position with direct sunlight exposure (90 degrees) and continuous vibration for two hours on a motorcycle trip. hours?

This is a question for which I am ill-equipped to respond. Despite having a hand-pressure gasketed cap, it is not a ventilated vessel. Direct sunlight and a reddish hue will heat the contents and raise the blood pressure. I would advise against using it in this way. Again, I am not qualified to make this determination.

Is it possible for me to keep gasoline in this container?

Yes, this bottle can hold gas, but only for a maximum of two months. It's designed to be carried on a motorcycle, atv, or utv vehicle for extra fuel on a long trip.

What is the size of the first? 5L? Width and height are two dimensions that are important to consider. ?

I ordered a 1 liter bottle, which measures 11 inches tall by 3 1/8 inches wide.

Is it possible to use this bottle to store extra mixed gas for a chainsaw?

I'm not sure what it's for, but I use it to store extra gasoline for my motorcycle when I go camping and there aren't many gas stations nearby.

It's a terrible cap, and it's not worth it
3/5

After reading reviews of the difficult childproof cap and searching the internet for older non-childproof caps, I decided to purchase one. I tried to find a childproof version but couldn't find one, so I bought two of these bottles. The bottle itself is lovely, but the childproof cap is a complete disaster. Even when turning the cap clockwise to close the bottle, it slips before fully tightening, requiring downward pressure to close and open. It necessitates a great deal of force and makes forming a secure seal difficult. br>br>In the end, I went with the MSR fuel bottle because it has a much better childproof cap that you can tighten as much as you want without applying downward pressure, and the opening action is smoother and more robust than the Primus cap. Furthermore, if you prefer a non-alcoholic beverage, The "MSR Fuel Bottle Cap - Child Proof" is a childproof cap for MSR bottles. SunnySports, for example, has "Expedition" as a source. com, which provides the simple, no-fuss cap that everyone wants on a bottle of this size. The MSR bottle, on the other hand, comes with a good childproof cap. br>br>I hope this information is useful and points you in the right direction instead of the Primus bottle. I've also been told that I won't be able to return it due to the shipping restrictions listed on the product page. What a letdown!.

Almost unbelievable, but a bad experience in a time of need compelled me to leave this three-star review
3/5

(It has been less than a year since I have owned it. ) This has been almost a year since I bought it. It came in handy twice or three times during the first few months as I learned how to ride a bike without a gas gauge and felt like it had no reserve. Last night, I was at the end of my tank and ran out of gas for the first time in a few months while driving to get gas. I took the canister out and noticed how light it felt; the can was, indeed, empty. After enlisting the help of a friend to drive me to the gas station, fill up my tank, and return to my bike, I discovered that the tank's seal had degraded, allowing the gas in the tank to leak out. When you look closer at the seal, you'll notice that it's made of regular rubber, which is susceptible to degradation by Ethanol. I may not have had this problem if the tank had been installed in an upright position, but I'm sure this seal will eventually wear out. br>br>Thoughts: The tank is fantastic, despite the sun-bleached plastic top. Use a seal that can withstand Ethanol sitting for an extended period of time. This tank is still fantastic for the money.

It doesn't leak, but it's difficult to pour
4/5

On a recent motorcycle trip, I took this bottle as insurance. Filling up at the gas station is a breeze. However, unless you do the math and figure out the gallon equivalent of how much you should be putting in it, getting it filled to the correct amount can be difficult. Because I had three of these bottles, I made a holder out of a towel, giving each bottle its own pocket. The towel did not smell like gasoline, and there was no other evidence that the bottles had leaked. The only disadvantage is that pouring without making a mess is difficult (especially on a windy day). I'll bring a silicone funnel with me on the next trip, which I've already purchased, to aid in the transfer.

It appears to be in good working order
5/5

We went on the longest ride we've ever gone on so far - On the motorcycle, I covered 1000 miles in four days. It's been about a week since I got this tank. It's been hung upside down and shaken out on the ride every day, with no leaks or issues so far. I can see why some people believe the child-parent relationship is unhealthy. It's possible that the proof cap will become a problem. It hasn't been proven to be harmful yet, but it appears to be one of those lids that will become increasingly difficult to open as time goes on. So far, I haven't had any cause for complaint. It holds fuel, doesn't leak, and I avoided opening it when it was freshly shaken or hot, so there was no mess or pressure issues when I did. If that changes, I'll update this, but for now, I'd say it's been well worth the money.

So far, the container has proven to be dependable
5/5

The fuel bottle performs exactly as it is intended. As has been stated by others, the o- If you don't use a petroleum-compatible lubricant, the ring will become stuck. I was undecided as to whether or not the o- Because the ring that came with the container wasn't the right type for gas, and it was starting to stink, I ordered a set of Buna-N. o-nitrile nitrile o-nitrile o-nit and replaced it with a new one. I had no reservations about ordering a second container because the first had worked perfectly for several weeks with no leaks. I use these as a back-up plan for my enduro motorcycles, and they're both affordable and dependable.

The lid is severely damaged
3/5

I would not recommend it. This bottle was a gamble for me. I understand how to open a childproof medicine bottle, so this was a poor decision. I managed to open it once (with a lot of force) and thought I'd be fine. I filled it with gas so I could use it as a backup for my two cars. On my kayak, I have a 5 horsepower Suzuki outboard motor. I ran out of gas and realized that I would never be able to open this bottle again. I had to paddle against the wind for several miles. I couldn't even open it at my house. I am in my mid-thirties and very capable; I have neither the force nor the skill to open this bottle, but it appears that it has locked or that something has gone wrong. I'll use pliers to pry it open and remove the liquid, which I'll dispose of. I'll keep it short and say that the bottle is fantastic, but the lid is terrible. Not a good idea.

Have a good time! These appear to be ideal for transporting additional gasoline on my KLX250 Dual Sport, which has a 2 gallon gas tank
5/5

I'll get about if I combine the two. I'm planning on filling it up to the max fill line with 8 gallons, but I might go a little higher to fit a little more in. br>br>On the bottle, it says, "To be used only with Primus Powerfuel!" " I'm not sure what that is, but I'm going to use them for ethanol-free gasoline. br>br>I'm not sure what the diagram that came with each bottle is for; perhaps it's a pump you can get? br>br>I'll give these a try soon and report back.

My Mosko bags are a perfect fit
4/5

My Mosko Backcountry panniers can fit two of these in the 5l Aux Pox. They hold a total of 3 liters of fuel, extending my range by about 30 miles in an emergency and providing fuel for my MSR WhisperLite International stove. They are the only one and have a good price. Bottles of 5 liters that can fit two in a pocket. The only reason I took away a star is because the threads were not made to work with the MSR stove pump. To power the stove, I still need to bring a small MSR bottle. Overall, it's still a fantastic product.
