Yes, I stored and used gasoline from my motorcycle on a European trip with no problems at all. Just make sure the lid is on properly and that it isn't overtightened.

This is my second Optimus fuel bottle purchase in this size. This bottle holds just enough fuel for an Optimus Nova stove day out. I like to have a spare bottle of gasoline on hand. just in case there's a need for more. When it came to attaching the fuel pump to the MSR bottle, I discovered that it didn't fit as well as the Optimus bottle. Fast shipping from Amazon and a very reasonable price, especially given the scarcity of this size fuel bottle.
I bought two of these to carry the various fuels I occasionally use on backpacking trips. They're well-made and a little less expensive than some of the other options available. The only thing I didn't like about it (and it had nothing to do with its quality) was the child-proof cap that came with it. Because I believe that something made of pieces is more likely to fail and leak, I also purchased two standard screw-on caps to replace them. I don't work in an environment where children are present, so I didn't need the child-proof caps that were provided. These are extremely light and compact, making them ideal for storing in or on your backpack. There are no concerns because the product is of good quality, is reasonably priced, and performs well.
It's a cap. well. Safe for children. The child proof caps are a pain to wear, but they are required to sell them with this style of cap. I got the Optimus Expedition Caps for Fuel Bottle Caps from Amazon, and they're fantastic. If your child gets into your stuff and drinks it, you might want to order them both at the same time. If that's the case, keep an eye on your child and keep the child-safe caps handy).
This one has a leak-proof cap. in contrast to my previous one.
The . With leftover fuel, 6L will last me a week of solo cooking in my style. The food pack has a manageable weight and size, and it appears to be well constructed. I already had msr bottles, but I read that using this brand with the optimus stove was recommended because the seals were different styles. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I went with the advice to be safe.
This flaw has the potential to lead to a collision. Although the product appears to be of good quality, I purchased it for a friend who lives in another country and had it shipped to them. The cap was discovered to have a manufacturing flaw.
It's certainly not a 6 liter bottle! 450 milliliters (15 milliliters) is written on the label. On the bottle, it says 2 oz. 450 milliliters, in case you're curious. is . It's not 45 liters. 6 liters is equal to 20 liters. 2 ounces! I know how much fuel I need to bring, and we're talking about a 5 ounce difference in fuel weight, which is significant when backpacking! It's incredible that they're allowed to do this! As I write this, I'm returning my purchase, but I wanted to share this in case anyone else was about to make the same error! The bottle is well-made and looks great. The issue is that the cap is of poor quality, and the ring top will easily pop off, leaving you with a broken bottle or a spring in the woods. Also, even for an adult, tightening and opening the cap properly is difficult because it slips inside and doesn't grab the notch well enough to allow it to turn. Given the cost, a better cap should be included. I would recommend the bottle, but only if it came with the standard cap.
